I picked up the Best Buy exclusive today, here's the back, it details the bonus disc (which is also a Blu-ray).

Amazon

Someone on Amazon claimed this set has deleted/extended scenes as a hidden feature. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? I'm undecided about purchasing the set, but I'll most likely buy if there really are some additional scenes.

I don't know but I would imagine these discs are identical, if they added more content I would think it would be listed, as it would make people more likely to double dip. If there are hidden extras I bet they are on original sets as well.

Oof! 2.5 rating on the review on this site!! That's a terrible review!! I wanted to blind buy this season and season 6 just to complete my collection, but after seeing that atrocious rating, I may just sell my current seasons and use the money to buy the 5 seasons of BOARDWALK EMPIRE.

I hear the final season went back to the good packaging, is that true? That's good if it is. Although season 6 is really gonna look weird next to the others now.

I hate the digipack/cardboard/fold out type of packaging, so I am glad I never bought a single season and waited to ge tthe complete series collection. Each season is in a regular style plastic case, and each season varies between 4 & 5 discs. I am one happy camper!!

Eh, regular cases for a TV series just looks cheap. The season 1-5 cases are quality, IMO.

Well luckily the entire series is housed in a beautiful slip box.

Eh, I may give it a chance if there is a good Black Friday sale on Seasons 6 and 7. I already own Seasons 1-5 on BD and really like this show a lot. So, I may buy it and judge for myself. Sometimes Kenneth Brown can be a bit too critical on his reviews. Just look at his reviews for The Big Bang Theory.

Oh I liked Season 6. It's just the last season I have tons of problems with. You're seriously better off just leaving it on the shelf (no matter how good the Black Friday deals are). In hindsight, the writers were better off following the books. You could tell the writers were scrambling for ideas the further the show drifted from its original source material.

I hear you I was hoping to find Season 7 for cheap on Black Friday since I have not had any luck on just buying a code for it yet. Maybe on Cyber Monday we will get a good price on it.

Did anyone else notice the first episode of the season, Jesus Gonna Be Here, is only in DTS-HD 2.0, not 5.1? What is up with that!?!

Oh wow, if that's true, then I'm surprised nobody here brought that up, especially the reviewer on this site. I haven't bought Season 7 yet since I'm waiting for a sale, so I can't confirm. But can someone else pop in their disc and confirm this?

Never mind... I'm an idiot! I was looking at the wrong M2TS file!

Default For Those Who Use Media Players and DVDFab - READ THIS!!!

Okay, wait... not so fast!!!

This is a very interesting discovery I've made with the first episode of True Blood Season 7, "Jesus Gonna Be Here"....

For those of you who have media players or HTPCs that copy your movies to HDDs and stream them through your home network or play them straight off HDDs with the help of DVDFab, the first episode "Jesus Gonna Be Here" gets copied JUMBLED. I use the word "jumbled" because that's exactly what it is. First of all, it is 0050.m2ts and if you view it on your computer, you'll notice it won't have a time code! If you play it, you'll notice it will play all of the previous season's previews and not the actual episode! It also mixes in the entire second episode, "I Found You" as well and the size is 14,837,658KB.

Copy the same disc in AnyDVD HD and you will get the correct episode of "Jesus Gonna Be Here" with the time code listed as 50:44 on your computer.

I tell ya, if this is part of a copy protection that is currently fooling DVDFab, it's one of the best I've seen... even better than Cinavia!

I saw what the newest re-issue's look like today, it's a regular Blu-ray case in a slipbox like TBBT, TVD, TO, Supernatural etc. The only difference is the logo is embossed.
