Mill Creek has the rights to Sony's Finding Forrester (with Sean Connery). What are the chances they'll finally release this one blu-ray? I don't care about extras, even picture quality lol I just want the damn thing out!

I think Mill Creek has DVD rights only for most of the Sony titles. Lately Twilight Time has picked up titles for Blu ray only including The Last Detail and the upcoming Panic Room.

Man I wish this up coming 4 pack had Hardbodies 2 instead of Perfect. Perfect seems out of place with 3 beach movies. Will pick it up anyway.

My set up: A TV, 5.1 sound and movies

I agree. I like the DVD set better that has Hardbodies 1 & 2, Mischief, and Spring Break. I would love to have Mischief on BD.

Thanks for the post. Hardbodies by itself is worth that price alone. Pre-ordered!

I have Mill Creek's release of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The movie itself looks and sounds pretty good on that disc, but it's about as barebones as it gets. After you put in the disc, you get the usual FBI Warning and Mill Creek logo, then the rating, followed immediately by the Columbia Pictures logo and then the movie begins. After it's over, you arrive at a blank screen with the movie poster, and a single menu option for "Play Movie." No subtitles, no scene selection (though there are about 5 chapter stops), no bonus features whatsoever. I would get the Sony release for that if you can. It wasn't loaded with bonus content, but at least there was a commentary, some old 1997-era production featurette, and a music video.

I have The Legend of Billie Jean too, which has a similar disc, only there's also an option for a commentary with Helen Slater and Yeardley Smith.

They've really gotten a bit lazy with these releases. My copy of When A Stranger Calls/Happy Birthday to Me has subtitle options, better menus, and more chapter stops. They're still better than Echo Bridge though!

Mill Creek now?

They're as good as anyone in terms of Blu-ray quality. I trust Mill Creek with encoding more than Scream Factory or Criterion.

LOL oh brother.

Too bad they are still inferior, neglecting to include subs when available and taking the cheap route. Scream has a lot of problems, but Mill Creek is certainly not on the level of either of them.

Just saying they have quality encoding. Subtitles, packaging, extras, etc. is what it is.

I had Echo Bridge's old DVD releases of Halloween 6-8, Pokemon 4-7, and Prom Night. I know they weren't Blu-rays, but they were among the worst in my collection in terms of picture quality, and encoding. Halloween H20 and Prom Night were open-matte, while some of the Pokemon films were still in pan-and-scan. The menus also looked like they were made in iDVD. The reissues of Halloween and Prom Night from Scream Factory and Synapse were a million times better, easily (especially Prom Night).

While Mill Creek cheapens out on subtitles, menus, and bonus content, at least their transfers are decent enough, in my experience, though I'm pretty sure the Sony stuff just carries over their transfers. I don't think Mill Creek does any telecines in-house.

Thumbs up

I much prefer Mill Creek licensing and releasing Sony titles to Twilight Time. Much better prices and availability.

Any news of them possibly releasing the Urban Legend movies?
R.I.P. Wes Craven. My personal tribute.

Ture, but TT has been putting extras on the titles now to make them worth the extra $

The original Sony release of Season 1 was 2 discs and Season 3 was 3 discs. The pq of Season 1 was noticeably inferior to Season 2. The Mill Creek release combines seasons 1 and 2 on 4 discs, so I would expect the pq to be on par with Sony's Season 1. That is, not great.
Current pre-orders:
02/16/2016: I Confess, Key Largo
02/23/2016: The Big Sleep
03/08/2016: The Vikings

Mill Creek is going to release the Complete Series of Mad About You with a lot of extras, including confirmed involvement from Helen Hunt and Paul Rieser. It's supposed to be out in the spring of this year.
