Say what you will about the franchise but I appreciate the continuity between each release. Short of Saw we have not seen that sort of mythology weaved between films since the death of the Halloween films.

Part 2 is a favorite for me as well. Followed by 1, 3, then 4. Part 3 had a great ending. One of the most amazing things about part 4 was how faithful it stayed to the mythos and contributed the events from the previous films.

Like I've said before, Part 4 will be great once we have Part 5. It was just a movie to bridge the gap.

It is awesome watching each film right in a row. The series is fantastic

Part 2 was the scariest for me and had the most likeable characters. Part 1 was great, but not scary. Part 3 was the worst but it had a good ending. Haven't seen Part 4.

Watching this tonight. Hopefully the extended cut is good. I read from reviewers that it contained more back story which is great to hear.

It doesn't, unfortunately. It's still an enjoyable movie but, was still disappointing and pretty much killed off my interest in the fifth film.

I enjoyed it more the 2nd time around. The extended cut did contain some cool scenes. There is a whole additional opening scene of about 3 minutes. Nothing revolutionary, but I really enjoyed it. I wish there was like another 2 minutes at the very end, and a bit more backstory, but all in all, I love it.

The deleted scenes were not really anything special, and I didn't really expect them to be...but they were still cool to see. It was all completely new besides just 1 scene which was shown in the film but on the laptop. So we didn't see it in full screen. But there were some interesting little character pieces and I enjoyed seeing scenes in other areas of the house. There were a lot of locations they completely cut out from the film or reduced drastically.

I'm mad they cut out the spin-off Post credits scene though...why?

Just finished watching this and I gotta say this was the worst of the 4 by far. I hear what everyone is saying about bridging the gap til 5 but then what about 6 then? Is 5 gonna be another bridge? You cant make movies like that! I mean they will keep making these until it stops making money, just like SAW. And yeah I enjoyed those more than these because like someone else said, at least there was action in SAW, not just sitting there watching cameras. Dont get me wrong, I like PA but part 4 was awful and I almost want a refund..lol. Part 5 has got to be better and I will be right there on a Tuesday in January to buy it too....lol. Dam guilty pleasures!

Part 4 was the first one I missed in theatres and I don't regret it one bit. Part 5 better step up its game though.

i saw 1 in theaters, 2 was a late night rental with the ex, 3 i went to theaters with friends and i skipped 4 entirely till netflix. Just had no urge to see it yet i know i'll watch 5 and a 6

These movies are ones you HAVE to see opening weekend because of audience reaction. After I missed opening weekend and it only opened to half of part 3, I didn't really care to see it much tbh.
