I was an early adopter of 3D and bought the Samsung when 3d first came out. I guess that is why Samsung had dropped IR glasses to go to rf glasses because of the issues.

Now the newer Samsung tvs might be better but mine sucked and I also stated that hopefully they have improved on this. Also, if you read my post, I said my tv sucked and did not generalize all Samsung tvs as you indicate in your post.

I don't care about the Samsung tv anyways because I don't do my 3D viewing on it because of all the problems.
You probably should have specified in your original post what 8000 model you have, 'C' 'D' or 'E', cause then you wouldn't have had 2 members respond thinking you were talking about the E8000

It's no surprise that the C8000 has many problems, it was a 1st gen 3d set, you can't expect much else.

The D series is from 2011, Solo Man said his 8000 series tv was from 2010, which would be the C series. The D series received much praise for it's 3d quality, just like the E series.

Sorry, I guess I should of said the "C" series. I guess that is what I get for being an early adopter. So I guess Samsung improved on the 3D and it is the E series that is awesome.

Overall I love 3D technology even though I was let down with the Samsung C series but glad to hear they worked out everything. My favourite plasma though is the Pioneer Kuro 5020 even though it is not the elite version. I hope my kuro never dies.
Love 3D technology and am addicted to it.

I bought the Samsung 6420 D series in early 2012 and i havent had a complaint yet. The 3d is quite amazing, i was getting some slight ghosting issues on a select few 3dbd's so i upgraded my 3d glasses to Samsungs highest end glasses and i have not experienced any ghosting whatsoever since. I really took a leap of faith with switching to samsung, having always owned Sony or Panasonic through the last 20 years, and i can say im glad i did. I only wish i had gotten a bigger model.

I have a vizo 3d 65 inch led. Turns out to be a very good picture. love the 3d. came with 4passive glasses. While watching a 3d movie the wife kept saying "WOW". She is not a tv person. Took me a day of trying different settings before I was happy.
The picture now looks like you are looking through a window. Very impressive.
Took the grandkids to see a 3D movie & came home 3 new 3D glasses. Passive 3D is wonderful.
Sometimes you just have to cry...
