Default When did you realise one of you favourite movies became outdated?

One example from me:

I was watching some clips of Spider-Man (2002). A movie I grew up with a lot, but haven't revisited in a while. You can see it in the fashion and the way it was filmed. The graphics didn't look as jawdropping as it did back in the day - but who could blame it, it's already more than 10 years old. It was the first time I looked at it and felt like it has aged now. I still feel that the final swing is a classic masterpiece.

Lol - mine is a total teen chick flick but Clueless. Any movie that had cell phones tend to look dated though. As if!

The Shawshank Redemption will never become outdated.
Most films that I find good I don't want to experience again.

Batman (1989) The music, the cars, the clothing styles...

I used to prefer it over Batman Returns but now that I've got older the first film just hasn't aged well. It's still enjoyable for the performances, but Returns doesn't have a specific time frame its forced into the way Batman does so I find myself watching it more often.

Casino Royale.

I loved it after seeing it in the cinema, but revisiting it again before Skyfall, and it was as plodding and clunky as most of the Bond movies.
Wishlist Over the Hedge (Dreamworks), Lemony Snicket's (Paramount), Order of the Phoenix Extended Edition (Warner Brothers)

Sale Items Beauty and the Beast, Inception, Toy Story 3, District 9 & Karate Kid PM please :)

I found out yesterday that Big Trouble in a little china is extremely outdated and super cheesy.

Still good fun though and the acting often leads to very funny moments

None of my favorites are dated. They just become period pieces.

First... fixed the title for you.

Second... GOOD CALL!!! That certainly is a good title for this topic. But, it doesn't change the fact that the film is still WAY beyond fun.

EXACTLY. If a current movie were set in, say, 1985, they'd strive to replicate the hairstyles and fashions of the period, so any movie actually made in 1985 already has a built-in advantage!
