So if you buy a lot of Criterions (or other stuff at B&N throughout the year, which I often do) then you get that extra 10%. $18 per title instead of $20 during the sale, with no other coupons.
There are no B&N stores in Canada, however. So if you're Canadian (like the many people reading this CANADIAN thread), a membership is probably not worth it.

Oh OK. I didn't even realize I was in a Canadian thread, and if I had I also didn't know there are no stores in Canada haha. Thanks for the info.

It was mostly killed around noon ET yesterday. A couple posters did say they were allowed to manually apply it while doing a BN Chat so a possible alternative to a cross border shopping trip I guess

I asked a clerk at the Union Square Barnes about the November sale. He said it starts on Wednesday the 1st and ends on Thursday the 30th, covering the whole month.

Thanks for the heads up, but just so you're aware, this is the Canadian deals board.

Might want to post about that over in the regular Movie and TV Deals Board.

Thanks. I searched for threads that had Barnes in the title. I didn't look closely enough.

Someone normally starts a new thread for each B&N sale.

Surprised this thread isn't dead and shutdown.

Unhappy

I guess it's worth saying to all us Canadians that the B&N Criterion sale has started again.

Considering our CAD is heading towards some pretty sad times in the near future (it's already dropped a lot in the last week and a half), obviously your mileage might vary on this stuff.

Shame, we haven't seen a Criterion sale since Aug 2016 here... and it's pretty awful that eOne & Amazon think 0-8% off is a pretty good price for these "premium products".

Not a Criterion, but BN.com has the Harry Potter 4K set on for $151.46 right now. Use code DAYMAKER to save 20%, plus ebates for a further 2% cash back. (I forgot ebates )

Cheapest way to get it right now. Just hope I don't get hit at customs, which shouldn't happens since they charge you tax on the order.

Plus, no French on the cover.

I make a BN order every single Criterion sale, and I've never been hit with customs except for one time. I went to clear the package myself, and the customs guys were adamant that what BN was charging wasn't Canadian tax. To be honest, they were pretty hostile about the whole thing.

Customs guys were wrong. Should be no customs from Barnes since they charge tax for Canada at the check out. I have had a couple packages from Barnes shipped with UPS with no custom charges and I'm sure if UPS could charge customs they would have so they could get their rip off brokerage fee.
