If anybody here isn't having any luck with dollarama, it may be a good idea to check out sunrise records.
Last time I was at sunrise they had a big bin with many of the same titles as dollarama, some were $3 and some were $5.
Might be worth a look.

Those are excellent finds. Why can't they have those in the Toronto area!

Not really, I've search all of the GTA and Mississauga dollarama stores, not much selection. There is always a lot of Children's dvds but not enough solid movies for adults.

I encourage you to write to dollarama customer service to tell them to find better movies for everyone.

Not sure if you didn't understand my post.
My point was if you don't have any luck at dollarama, sunrise seems to have a similar selection, in Calgary anyways.
Most of the blu ray titles I have seen here at dollarama are at sunrise (I was at the cross iron location) as well.

Dollarama in ON have started to carry Guitar Hero Live sets for $4.00 for Wii U and Xbox 360. They might also have PS3 copies as well.

How is it possible you find such half decent titles at Dollarama? There's about four stores where I live and whenever I'm there all they have is the same handful of crummy old DVDs that have been gathering dust since the dawn of time.

Animal House! Cool find rabbit.

I had a good run at the dollarama for a while and found a bunch of really good/surprising titles. Lately, a whole lot of junk. Thought maybe if I kept clearing them out of the good titles, they would keep restocking those stores. My plan failed.

Whenever a Dollarama gets some new Blu-rays they are usually (but not always) gone within a couple of days, no matter how crappy the titles. I've seen people just grab anything with a blue case and put it in their cart.

Another possibility, the Montreal-area locations just get more stock of Blu-rays, because I see them fairly regularly.

I check Dollaramas in Toronto regularly and I find the Blu-rays have kind of diminished. Maybe they'll pick up before Christmas but I find there are more DVDs.

Having said that, I have found some real gems over the past month or so.

I found both Hair and Wall Street.

But the major finds were:

Bruce Lee 2fers - The Big Boss/Fist of Fury and The Way of the Dragon/Game of Death
(Shout Factory)

And my most coveted:

My Bloody Valentine (1981). I remember someone posted earlier in this thread that they found it at Dollarama and I never ever thought I would be lucky enough to find it but I did.

Oh man, that is awesome - nice find! Cheapest price on eBay now is $60+ but I'd just want it because it's a classic Cunuxploitation flick. It's Tarantino's favourite slasher and shot in my neck of the woods.
