hopefully some of the superstores in Toronto have this deal as well

EDIT: just found out it's $12.99 for the individual movies. I thought it would be like WM where 2/$20 means $10 each. A good deal for those interested in at least 2 movies, however I am only interested in 1.

Hmm, I don't recall seeing a 12.99 price tag on any of those titles, or on the bin itself. Superstore does still have a separate 12.99 bin though, with titles from many companies. I just got The Matrix digibook & slip in there.

If you don't want to pay $12.99, Event Horizon is on sale for $10.99 at Futureshop. I'm interested in some of the Trek movies.

Already did, and the jist of what I get is, its not "that bad" for most people. But nothing pisses me off more than out of sync anything. I won't even waste $10 on it. I'll put the dvd on if I want to see it that bad.

Not going to lie, I own the blu-ray and, until reading this, I had no idea there was even a problem...

I am tempted to pick up the first two Star Trek flims.

I guess other Paramount titles like Braveheart, Iron Man and the newer Gladiator are not in the mix.

I couldn't refuse.. I went and grabbed South Park and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

I popped South Park in, went up to the 38min mark where the Sync issue is supposed to be... and.......... No Sync issues? Maybe they secretly issued new copies of it, maybe it was a firmware problem this whole time, I dunno but it played Fine with my S370. I tried my best to convince myself there was a sync issue but every sentence ended on time and started on time, and all sounds (doors closing) lined up so...

Yeah, I never noticed a sync issue when I 1st bought it on day 1 of release. Have an S350. Though there still was the video issue which does exist

That I compared with my old DVD.

That doesn't bother me. Its a 2 second issue with the way the movie was made (afaik). Besides, paying $10 for it is even better.

Edit: you can add Clear and Present Danger to the List. Saw a dozen or so copies in the bin.

Just added 'Major League' to the list, & edited 'Star Trek Films Various' to 'First Contact' since it was the only one I saw there today.
