ďLove. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take a boat in the air you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughtta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.Ē

I try to have a bit of operating capital on hand to buy stuff like this, then I usually sell off the extra discs. Splitting them up and selling the blu, dvd, and code separately I usually at least break even, and I keep the collectible packaging. I don't do this for every movie, I try to limit it for special ones, like Star Wars, DC, Die Hard, Showgirls, etc.

That's a pretty cool way of doing it. If I was able to secure buyers for the extra discs, I definitely would have bought the 3D along with the 4K and sold off a Blu-ray disc, and the digital codes. (Already sold my 4K code).

Trouble is, how many people are buying single-discs with no packaging?

The image is kind of an animation style, and the perspective does seem off a bit.
I wasn't a big fan of it when I first saw it, but it is a nice looking steelbook in person. There are a number of foreign steelbooks with artwork I prefer more, and some include the 3D also. If I returned both the steel and the 3D version I could get an import and still be saving money.

Yep. Also her right leg (our left) is pretty wigged out with the perspective on the ellipse of the top of her boot is drawn poorly. Possibly the leg was pushed out more for silhouette legibility, but unfortunately in the process it flattens the space around it, making everything else feel a bit off. Foreshortening is a tough thing, but when it's done incorrectly it just brings too much attention to itself. Shame, because I think hand-drawn covers and posters are a lot more fun than photographs.

Haha, I was at a bar recently that had VHS films projected onto a back wall. They looked god awful in their 110" 4:3 glory.

It looks to me like the same artist that did the Logan steelbook art -- I'm not a fan.

Steve McNiven did the LOGAN art. WW looks nothing like that at all.

Not a fan of the LOGAN art, but this WONDER WOMAN art is not as bad as initially feared.

Walmart exclusive with Prime and Bee was $28.96, movie came with a slip and was individually sealed, FYI. Only 5-6 4K steels left at Best Buy, and got the last collection steelbook. It was on a "new release" shelf to the side of the main entrance, in the opposite direction of the media section. I've only been in the renovated BB once before, but if you see where the movies are you probably wouldn't look in that other direction. The guy there even said people always miss it. Huh... Really...

And they actually had the CE4K gift set in stock this week (3 on the shelf). After the run around I got last week, and calling yesterday to the same store to be told again it was "online only", not to mention there was a shelf spot for it last week, I was quite surprised to actually see it in store.

So. Much. Transformers. lol. Iím probably going to get the 3D when it drops to the $10-$15 dollar mark; gotta take what I can for 3Dís, especially with Disney seemingly dropping the format.

How do you like the CE4K set? I saw it in store last weekend, but not sure if itís worth the price. Especially with how decent the price is for the standard 4K, which is surprising. (Unlike, letís say, Unforgiven)

I really just wanted the steelbooks, as I mentioned in another post I sell the extra discs and codes and usually end up making my money back. Also the cars are pretty nice. Works out to about $2 per car, which is probably cheaper than they would be on their own. And everyone keeps saying Disney is leaving behind 3D which is the case for some titles, but they are still releasing some in North America and the rest get region free releases overseas.

I'm a sucker for some of those elaborate packages especially if it's Spielberg. For the average consumer I'd say get the standalone but if you are a big fan or like that kind of stuff get the set. PS it does light up and plays the 5 note theme.

Gotta disagree with you there. Rogue One and Guardians 2 were extremely limited and only available in a Steelbook. Pirates of the Caribbean and Cars 3 seem to be only getting 4k and blu ray releases.

Those are just recent examples. Before that was Alice through the looking glass, Peteís dragon, the bfg, etc.

Itís nice that 3Dís are being released still in the UK, and that they are region free, but if you donít want to import them it is pretty clear that Disney is shifting away from 3D and towards 4K, in North America at least.

^^
I commented on this in another post, and it's true that some are getting a limited release (but they are still getting released) and some aren't being released at all in North America, but in the past year we did have Zootopia, Finding Dory, and most recently Moana.
