Don't know about other stores, but if bought at Walmart, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance also came with $10 movie cash to see The Amazing Spider Man. Also came with a bonus disc.

I had no problem, I avoided Cineplex, maybe that was the key. Anyway should not this be in the Movie Cash thread instead?

BTW where can I find Conan the Librarian blu-ray?

Unfortunately not everyone has the option to avoid Cineplex. The only theatre in my small town is a 3 screen out of date theatre (granted it is dirt cheap in comparison to the big guys so I do go there on films I am not completely sold on) and the closest 2 theatres after that are a Cineplex Odeon and a Galaxy.

Luckily Kingston is getting a new Empire Theatres in December which will also give me an IMAX half an hour away (the closest now is 2 and a half hours)

I feel for you, if it's any comfort, the one I went too was rather on the small side so I will not be going back there again.

I just want to ask - so these movie cash codes only work if I go and purchase the ticket myself at the theater, but will not work if I do it online?

There is no set rules for how they will work, it depends on the promotion and the theatre you select. Prometheus was used like a credit card at the theatre. Men In Black 3 was an online code you used while ordering your tickets online when you selected any of the major theatre chains as for where you were going to use it.

For anyone that got the Spider-Man movie cash, is it the kind that you use online to purchase a ticket or the kind where you use it at the theatre?

I used my Prometheus print outs yesterday. No problem, it took the cashier 3 or 4 minutes to process 2 of em. I got Scene Points on each one too.

Since I'd already watched Prometheus 2 weeks ago, we just went into the Snow White theatre instead.

Anyone who has these Prometheus tickets left better use them very soon- the cashier dude said that they aren't carrying Prometheus after Friday. Dunno if that goes for every theatre, but good luck.

Not for me. I got my Prometheus movie cash on a Blu of "Last of the Mohicans". Had to be redeemed online. It was very specific on the coupon that it could NOT be redeemed at the Box Office.

Then you were lucky. I got the print-outs that needed a split transaction and entered like a credit card which the staff always has problems with.

I think the type of theatre also decides what type of movie cash you get but I could be wrong.

I got the same thing last night. I'm guessing technical difficulties was behind it as the site is down now with the message: "We are performing system maintenance. Please come back soon."
