Regarding the SUPERMAN films, I have not finished reading yet, but apparently there is a guy on Amazon called Gabe who is not happy with the new BD Anthology.

Link is here:
http://www.amazon.com/Superman-Pictu...#RLDKMKLD0SDJR

and he includes screenshots showing that the colour timing has changed (for the worse) on Blu-ray.

I already have the DVD tin set and I think I may hold off for the next (inevitable) release of the Superman films next year. Maybe they will re-master the other films.

He's crazy.

The Superman Anthology rocks on Blu. I also own original DVD. I sold those as soon as I got the Blu and compared them.

Obviously the blu-ray will be sharper resolution, but he makes a very compelling case that they really bungled the color on this release.

I am not looking at screenshots in my properly calibrated KURO, however I don't have an issue with the movies I have seen. I am also pretty picky. This is a discussion for the superman thread, however I am not convinced.

I say if you like Superman, get that set.

In and around the cash registers, there is 6foot black wire stands that have held "Fitness" and "Authentic Fireplace" dvds for years and years. They have thrown random blurays in this area over the past 2 years, and slowly it has become better.

Completleyyy hit or miss though, the 3 locations below all have titles.

Oshawa (gibb st) across from Oshawa Centre
Bowmanville (king st) massive CT, biggest in Canada I think...
Whitby (401-Brock st exit), just past the hotels on Consumers?

I imagine the Oshawa and Whitby Tauton rd. locations also have titles, I never find myself up in the "North end" though.

got back from Canadian Tire in Sherbrooke, QC. they had a BUNCH of them. (i'd say around 25 titles x multiples copies.) a lot of titles i haven't seen mentioned here, but two that looked really good to me at $6.99: Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Rabbit Hole.

^Bump for CT!

Went into CT this morning (Gibb St / Stevenson Rd (OC) ) to sadly replace an "unpluggable" tire...ran over something buried in the snow the other night...

Anywaysss, A nice bluray rack setup appeared, probably 100 titles? very few doubles... all semi-recent films with 9.99/6.99 Price Tags... many with slipcovers and all brand new... (some 3 feature-film packs for 9.99)

Precious,
The Artist,
Grown Ups,
Passchaendale(very nice slip),
Bad Santa,
Wallace and Gromit?
Wedding Singer,
Expendables (nice slip),
Descendants,
errr,
Employee of the Month..

The 1 title that stood out to me was... "Wanted" in a very nice collectors edition clear case... I had to have it...mainly because I have NEVER seen this edition before, didn't know it existed. It is one of the nicest single film collectors editions I have ever owned, I really was shocked to find it at 9.99$...

http://www.amazon.com/Wanted-Limited...=Wanted+Bluray

There was 2 left when I was there at noon today...

I shall check the Bowmanville location sometime this week!

Bowmanville had all the titles mentioned, along with at least 7 of the Wanted sets.

Sometimes you really have to look. I have been to three locations and they are all over the place and the employees don't really know/notice where they are.

They are sometimes in an isolated rack in the middle of the aisles. It might be there one week and gone the next.

Also, there might be two racks in the store -- but would they think of putting the two racks together? No! I've seen two racks located at two opposite ends of the store and the employee who was in charge of one of the adjacent departments wasn't even able to tell me where they were.

The only way to be sure is really to do a quick walk around the entire store.
