bump got one title for $6.99 from Multimags, local and montreal magazine stores. the film is definitely not ID4 caliber worthy OST from the .CA speaking of dredd, alliance will release it, 3D+br+dc, probably similar to conan(momoa) multi format, hope it gets a slip even stopped by a local Couche-tard, lol they had br's at the cash counter under $10 each. check your Macs the wm link, prep&landing, lowest price is the deux langues

What are these prep and landing movies? I have never heard of them before seeing them on here a few times. Are they TV specials or something?

That $6.99 title I've seen for $5 at a few places, but never bothered to pick it up lol

And Prep & Landing is $17 online for whatever reason, but it's $15 in-store for the English version. I've already seen my stores' shelf tag for it...

once again purchased une title at $19.99 from multimags five haunting films in one set 5-disc set of course nice disc art work for all, stored in a large sized elite casing, black ray, the darkness cream of the crop was the very cool slipbox cover matte finish, some glossy parts, fully embossed. wicked pentagram the scratched out eyes still gives me the creeps av specs, witch project is 4x3 1.33:1, dts-hd ma 2.0 only, 1408 is dts 5.1, where as on packaging it reads true hd dd pretty much cinq horror shows for $4 each this set goes for a way higher price point on the .CA and hmv.

Is The Others in that set the same old Alliance 1080i release, or is it the newer 1080p US release? I'm guessing it's 1080i since it's an Alliance package right?

I bought this set from Giant Tiger 2 weeks ago and almost returned it before opening it because of The Others. I was almost certain it would be the 1080i release.

I decided to go ahead and open it and I'm pretty sure it's the US 1080p release. It has subtitles and special features.

Not sure if anyone has brought this up, but I think there is some confusion on The Others, as it pertains to the Canadian release.

I recently bought the movie from inetvideo, and the version I got was the Canadian Blu+DVD, billingual cover. The box lists it as 1080p with all the same extras as the U.S. version.

It looks like there are 2 Canadian releases. The original from 2009, which is barebones. And the more recent from 2011, which appears to be the same as the 1080p U.S. version. I noticed on this website, it lists the 2011 Canadian version as 1080i, which I don't believe to be correct. Can anyone else confirm?

p.s. Sorry for going a bit off topic!

I know the original Canadian release was 1080i which was out for a year or two before the US 1080p release. Not sure if Alliance reissued this newer 1080p one or not, but it's been the reason I haven't ordered one of my favourite movies on blu-ray yet.

Just a heads up, but Superstore, at least in the west, has some pretty stellar deals.

Yesterday I got the following:
  • Cool Hand Luke - $5
  • Dark City (Director's Cut) - $7
  • Contempt (Studio Canal, dir Goddard) - $10
  • The Third Man (Studio Canal) - $10
  • T2 Skynet Edition - $7

I was really surprised at the Studio Canal movies being there, I was contemplating ordering them online for over twice the price. They're basically Criterion films that criterion lost the license to. The Third Man is excellent, has a decent list of special features and has what has been deemed an excellent commentary track. The original Criterion edition went out of print in 2009 and now sells for easily $120+. So what I'm saying is pick the damn movies up.
All of them. Especially Dark City, a crazy precursor to The Matrix.
