I noticed IMDB tech specs state the film Aspect Ratio is 2.35:1 but 1.85:1 in IMAX. Is it opened up or side cropped?
Every Blu-ray should have a Play-All option for special features and every player should have 1.5x playback.
Every Blu-ray should come in a Viva Elite case with thick stock artwork and a slipcover. Each disc should have its own hub.
Dark HDR titles exist: Compare Star Trek Beyond 4K to the BD or any other Trek UHD. 10-15% are dark.

5 out of 5 stars for me. Wow. Way better than the first Avengers film, mainly for being a more emotional film.

The Vision. That's a standing applause gif.

Agreed! It was actually epic, I mean, Mila could tell the guy was nervous and probably sick to death of the traditional Hollywood BS with press junkets where everything is scripted, patterned and performed, so why not just be "I'll be me, you be you, have some fun." Really refreshing to see too. Nice to remember these folks are real people who get bored of their jobs just like we do.

Saw this last night, rated it 4 stars, where I would have given the first one 4 1/2. All round better story and set pieces, however the humor and characterisation wasnt as good as the first one.

Ranking Marvel movies

Avengers
Captain America
Guardians of the Galaxy
Iron Man
Avengers:Age of Ultron
Captain America Winter Soldier
Thor
Iron Man 3
Thor: The Dark World
Incredible Hulk
Iron Man 2

The information is incorrect. The IMAX version is presented in 2.35:1 completely, like all the other versions.

I can't believe that RDJ interview nonsense. Good for him on leaving! That guy is a TOOL!

And what's up with Iron Man 3 being at the bottom of everyones lists?! Idk, maybe I'm just an Iron Man fanboy...but I love both sequels.

I didnt like IM3 that much either, but after re-watching it, I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe its something to do with Mandarin not being Mandarin?

Yeah that's everything to do with it. I mean I can understand where people come from being upset about that, but it's still an awesome film.

Iron Man 3 was straight garbage.

Hoping to see this tomorrow in IMAX. Went to a premiere on Tuesday, only for the projector to fail just past the BBFC notice. Utterly gutted.

Seen this twice now and will give it the same rating as The Avengers, which is 4 stars. I wasn't sure after my first viewing because there is a lot going on, but it was a much better experience for me the second time. I do love the MCU, but Winter Soldier is the only movie I'd give the 5-star rating to.

I enjoyed it thoroughly though, it does have a lot of action, but it still has its heart, which is what matters most. Because if you don't care about the characters then it's hard to care about explosions and fights they engage in.

It's absolutely stunning in IMAX, I saw it there first and the huge screen and loud sound is brilliant. Just saw it in regular 3D this second time and that's also good as well. I don't know if I'd say it's worth 3D, but I went to a free screening for that one so I wasn't going to be picky.

Has anybody watched this in Dolby Atmos? I'm not sure if it's a sound mixing issue or just the cinema I watched, but I hear nothing from the overhead speakers. It's like listening to 7.1

Did you hear the overhead speakers during the Dolby Atmos logo before the movie? If you did probably the way the sound was mixed (doubt it as there probably objects flying overhead frequently), otherwise the theater system wasn't working.

I'm going tomorrow with wife and kids, on Digital IMAX.
Too much nostalgia interrupts progress. Looking forward to something new.

Yeah, it was the swirling leaf demo. Overall, I was very underwhelmed by the sound mix. It almost sound as if Dynamic Range Compression was turned on. Maybe it's Joss Whedon's style. His first Avengers movie was quite tame too.

But let me find out more first. Maybe it's just this cinema.
