So yeah...a victim of especially bad marketing I guess??
I don't watch movies in 3D and Dredd did not have a single 2D screening in Montreal. I've never seen that before or since. So I waited to watch it on cable, and then I bought the blu-ray.

Honestly we should be happy that Dredd was made in the first place. Great movie. For the price it's being sold for there is no excuse not to have it in your collection.

I'm pretty sure everybody here has it - or they wouldn't be posting about wanting another round.

Tis true, someone may wander in here, but I still think that the clamor for another movie would be a dead giveaway.

While I'd love for a producer or someone surrounding a future sequel to be lurking in the thread seeing how much people love the first film that person would have had to been in a coma back when it got a huge pop at Comic Con and the Make Dredd a sequel petition was formed.

I wish there were people in Hollywood that would take a chance with doing 2 sequels regardless on Box office bank.

How many have $40m (I'm assuming there's no way it could be done for less than $20m a film) they can piss away and are also Dredd fans?

I think if they cut perhaps cut costs in the extreme, you'd get a sequel, but I don't know whether that would be worth it.

I was kinda hoping (though not at all expecting) Dredd would make enough money that the sequel could have a larger budget...so that we could spend more time in MC-1, as opposed to spending almost the entire film in one housing block. Don't get me wrong...Dredd did wonders with its budget. But it was practically a bottle story, by necessity. Had it been successful, a sequel could have been more ambitious.
