Not just me then! The Gosling act feels like we are going to get something great and then...then it just gradually peters out. And the third act is just horrible.

If you don't mind sitting through an hour or so of boredom.

I really liked the first and last third. It was the second segment that I struggled with.

I completely agree. Some people just like to find things to complain about.

That's completely untrue. I have plenty to complain about without even looking.

Its called an opinion. Im not alone in thinking this film goes downhill and quick after the first hour or so.

^ Universal Slipcovers seem to last longer than anyone else's IMO, but you still have to know that this late, you are taking your chances.

As for the movie, I didn't really enjoy it too much, but I still found a lot to admire. I didn't really like the
[Show spoiler]multi-protagonist
format or the
[Show spoiler]time jump
but I think it's cool that they had the balls to try all that. I put it up on my shelf with pride but probably won't be taking it down very often, if that makes any sense.

Loved the movie the whole way through. Can't see how people would dislike the 3rd act. Dane DeHaan killed it.

It was getting through the second act that killed it for me.

Count me in as someone that loved the entire film. I have watched it 3 times.... incredible acting, storyline, and cinematography. I respect the opinion of those who didn't care for it or found it boring. To each his/her own. Personally, I'll be watching it again in a few months... it just has a cool vibe to it.

Sorry in advance (and you can delete this post if I've made an error in judgement):

I watched this tonight for the first time.

I have to say...I really loved this film.

Don't know if I would go so far as to say it's a classic, but it's pretty freaking good imo.

Maybe the ending was slightly flawed.

...but how many perfect movies are out there?

Glad you enjoyed it so much! I agree with everything you said, I didn't enjoy the 3rd act as much as the first two but it's one of my favorite films of the past 5-10 years.
My top 10 favorite films of all-time: 1. The Tree of Life - 2. Life is Beautiful - 3. Shawshank Redemption - 4. The Matrix - 5. American Beauty - 6. Pulp Fiction - 7. Dazed and Confused - 8. American History X - 9. Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 10. Almost Famous

Must be because we're both from Oregon.
