Great...so you need to buy a $55 Costco membership to get a $17 BR. No thanks! I'll just keep my sleeveless BR.

Hm... this actually makes me wonder something: does this documentary spoil anything about any of the comics or movies? I haven't seen a lot of the animated films yet, but plan to... same for reading the comics.

Does the documentary examine the supervillains deeply enough that I should avoid this before I watch all those movies and read all those comics I want to?

Just watched this with my brother, after he got it with his Batman: Arkham Origins deluxe edition. It was okay, but I disagree with this site's review and think it was actually too long. It offered some interesting discussion and stuff, and it definitely looked great. However, I felt it began wearing thin toward the end, like they were running out of stuff to stay, but couldn't stop until they met a pre-determined running time. I think if it had been about 20 minutes shorter, it would have been better.

Was also surprised that a number of clips from cartoons (such as Batman: The Animated Series) were of such poor quality, almost as if taken from a VHS source! That was strange.

The combo pack is $12.99 at Amazon. Ironically that's $2 less than BD-only version

I was mistaken earlier in the thread, apparently the BD-only edition does come with a UV code at all retailers.

Finally got around to watching this last night. I found it quite enjoyable.
After seeing all the Batman TAS scenes really had me wanting that out on BD!

I've been on the fence on this Blu-ray but at the above price, I can't resist. Now if only Superheroes: A Never-Ending Battle Blu-ray would come down in price (in order to get free shipping), it would make for a great back-to-back viewing. Thanks for the heads up MifuneFan.

I found the single disc + UV version in the blu bin at Walmart yesterday. I'm generally not a fan of documentaries featuring people talking about what they remember, but this one only had a few people not actually involved with the comics. I don't think I needed the opinions of a professional wrestler, but it was good overall.

I thought this was OK. I bought it on release day way back whenever that was.

I was really hoping to gain some insight and learn a thing or two. I viewed it as more of an intro to DC villians; nothing I didn't already know really. Some of the people who spoke were insightful.

Of course this is being viewed from someone who has grown up reading these. I think I would definitely recommend this to someone who is just starting to get into DC books and/or movies.

So all in all, I think it is great for a novice comic book/cb movie enthusiast. For those of us that are well learned in them, this may not provide much in the way of new interesting information.

It wasn't bad at all though.

I grew up reading silver age comics, but anything later I know comes from a couple of the cartoon series, some of the animated movies, and the Arkham games, so there was new stuff for me.
