Yeah, I was just getting ready to add those to the OP. The Martian ($9.99) was added as well.

Everest and Compton are retail and I believe The Martian is a rental.

Those were added quickly.
Biggest Jennifer Lawrence fan! I've finished my 5th draft. It's a comedy Life As Liz written with Jen in mind as the lead. PM If interested. I've so far written 15 full length feature scripts. I'm currently working on my 16th script.

It's official. The wait for JOY on Blu Ray is over.
22 days until X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters.
A Beautiful Planet now out in limited IMAX theaters.
Passengers arrives on 12/23/16

I have a feeling if a certain actress had a part in it, he would feel completely different about it... I thought it was a good film, but nowhere near what I was led to believe from previews, many times preconceived notions can affect how you judge a film

The upcoming Vincent Price Collection III is $42.99, so a free shipping code would be nice!

Only time will tell, which is not a good answer to your queestion, but really it depends on a lot of different factors (# of copies F.V. corporate bought, the price paid, how well it rents etc.) given how fast the other titles have been coming up for sale though it's a better than average bet w/i a month. The bad news is I stopped by one of our F.V. B&M stores today. Spectre is sadly a Rental copy.

Well thanks for the heads up. I might as well pick it up from somewhere else if its rental.

I find it harder & harder to buy @ Family Video these days especially after seeing what this last Blk Friday Holiday season was like. Someone else said something similar to that along the lines of everyone telling them to just wait, just wait for Blk Friday.

Initially when I was finding what I thought were great deals at F.V. I felt like I was really cleaning up; I was buying mostly the 2 for $5 Blu-rays with a few $5 titles that hit the New Releases section fast, or titles that I Price matched to their online sales some for under $5 (but admittedly I am a penny pincher' to the core). Even though it was only $2.50 on most of them I still feel a little buyers remorse because having titles also in my UV digital library is also important to me and almost none of those titles work w/ D2D since 2013 & newer or aren't eligible.

So that seemingly amazing price at first now has me either buying the digital copy for the same price I could / would pay for the full combo when it goes on sale. In some cases when the movie goes on sales for $5 like the BB, Walmart Amazon sale going on right now and for the past weeks - I am just buying some of those same titles again especially when they come w/ Blu-ray + DVD + Digital copy and some cases they even come with the bonus Instawatch.

I feel like it's a better value than just getting a digital copy for $2+, but it does mean added time & work cleaning & trying to sell those F.V. discs. Hopefully I'll be able to do alright selling those copies for what I have into them at least. - Not trying to sound like a whiny prick, but my lack of patience was costing me more time & money now than the initial deal first appeared to be & if I had been more patient, I know $2.50 doesn't sound like much (It's practically a cheap rental cost there) but to me x multiplied many many times over + the extra digital copy cost kill me.

Also the OCD nature of the incomplete sets and sometimes F.V. only artwork/used scratched cases etc. also perturb me but to a lesser degree than buying brand new - I'm obviously in a Debbie Down / Oscar the grouch mood today. Wishing I had taken up collecting Used POP cans or some other cheap hobby I could obsess over. :-(

The major benefit of buying from FV is that newer titles can be had at a much lower price points a lot more quickly than either BB or Amazon (with exceptions of course). The FV price drops for recent titles are often spectacular even for highly sought after ones (e.g. Martian). Of course, you're only getting the feature disc minus any extras (DVD, DC). But for some folks not interested in the extra fluff, that's ok.
