It just goes to show you why I defend the Masterpiece Collection (and individual titles contained inside). Even the titles with the biggest issues (again, IMO) have defenders and those that see nothing wrong. This does not mean either of us is right or wrong here.

I don't want anyone interested in watching any of these films to be reluctant to do so based solely on the reviews of the transfer quality. Some look better than others but none are unwatchable.

I don't mind Marnie's transfer either. Noisy, but I think it looks better than the filtered/sharpened look of Psycho, which is usually highly rated.
