This really stinks, hopefully everyone will get their copies soon.
The Ghostbusters earned their Stripes and to relax decided to go play golf, but got locked in the Caddyshack by the Gopher with The Blues Brothers who are hiding from a Dragnet but luckily they all escaped to The Great Outdoors, where they met a ranger who turned out to be The Man Who Knew Too Little because everything he said was Lost In Translation. Upon leaving, they met St. Vincent who invited them to Rock The Kasbah after watching The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

I get overnight deliveries from Amazon all the time, but I do live outside a big city. Amazon also have started their own shipping service in certain markets like mine, so I often see them just run it over from the warehouse on the same day.

I've not watched it in years, but it definitely is a good one. I hope you enjoy your blind buy. That's a good price too.

I don't know about "really good" but it's certainly an adequate story given the type of movie it is - the atmosphere is definitely the strongest element.

Yeah I wouldn't say plot or story is the film's strong-suit, more the atmosphere. This is similar to a lot of Carpenter's work.

On the same level as Escape From New York and The Thing?

...in terms of overall quality.

I would rank Assault on Precinct 13, Halloween, Escape from New York, and The Thing above The Fog. I would probably rank Dark Star and Starman over it, as well. Maybe even Christine. I love the style of John Carpenter's early filmography, and I have absolutely nothing against slow moving movies, but The Fog is on the too slow/too boring side. It has some beautiful cinematography, but atmosphere alone just isn't enough to carry this one for me. That being said, $12.99 is a good deal for this release. I'm halfway considering it myself.

No. I would definitely put it after those two. It's fun though. A lot better than most crap being made these days. Go in with and open mind. Don't disappoint yourself by expecting something grand like those Carpenter masterpieces.

I bought the remake cheap at Hastings and it's dreadful. According to imdb, the writer Cooper Lane never worked again. The sad part is, on the making of, producer David Foster really thought they had something, and the movie was going to take off because of the " fresh, hip, young cast".

Yep, the remake is one of the biggest duds i've ever seen. Was hoping for a good movie, but it never came close to the original.

Yes, same quality. No, not on its level.

IMO, of course.

WTF? I was just trying to find this topic last night and couldn't.

Anyway, this movie gets better with every viewing and last night's watch was no different. The only issue I have is why is Curtis even in this movie? She serves absolutely no purpose to the story whatsoever.

The Fog is fantastic. My second favorite Carpenter film, sandwiched just below Halloween and just above Assault on Precinct 13. It has been said over and over but it truly has a perfectly executed atmosphere and sense of dread.

Totally agree that The Fog is on the boring side. I've watched it a few times, and I swear it always puts me to sleep.

.
Best way to find a specific forum is to look for the blu ray release review (or just page if there is no review) then select forum from the list of options that runs underneath the title description, along with screenshots, user reviews etc.
