I see. Well, I'm 100% positive I don't have IntelliVolume.

The Level 3 series center and bookshelves (I don't have room for floor standers) For all 3 if I recall correctly it was right around $500.

As far as the Intellivolume goes, I don't have anything by that name on my receiver, but it sounds a lot like Dynamic Volume. I've used that before and haven't really liked the way it sounded. Makes the bass sound really bloated.
Those do look interesting and with the 30 days, it's def worth a try. While not the most efficient you have more than enough power from your receiver to drive them crazy loud (you do have to remember that within the same line you will not get as much volume with bookshelves than towers). Another thing that you might want to change later on is the Onkyo sub and go with a "real" sub, that would also improve your sound quite a lot. For example you could get an SVS PB-1000 for $500. You know you gotta have good bass

Edit: which color are you going for?

Ok...sorry I couldn't be of more help...

Strange to me, though, that Onkyo doesn't put this feature on ALL their products, regardless of price point or subsequential application; the IntelliVolume feature is EXACTLY what would cure your "low volume" output issues...

@ Hillside. It's fine. I appreciate your input anyway.

@ Pentatonic. Black. I got the cherry Polk CS10 and my wife wouldn't let me hear the end of it for a good month. Also, that sub looks really nice. I wasn't really in the market for a new woofer right now, but I'll definitely save that to my bookmarks when I decide to upgrade that. Thanks!

Thanks. I'll definitely check it out. Yeah, I've just got my eye on those speakers. Nothing is final yet.

I have the HTD Level 3 bookshelf speakers for my fronts and also have the center and I love them. I went from some lower-end Polk towers to these, and it was a major step up. I first heard of them through several posts from Big Daddy on here, and after reading some reviews on AVS, I figured I would give them a try.

The ribbon tweeters sound so good. They are very articulate, clean and clear without any harshness or ear fatigue. They also have much better depth and dimensionality compare to my old Polks. The price/performance ratio on these speakers is pretty amazing too. As Big Daddy has said, no other speakers in this price range offer ribbon tweeters.

Good luck with your upgrades, whichever route you choose.

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about these speakers, hence my interest in them. Very attractively priced as well.
