But unless I'm mistaken, stock varies wildly this time.

I had an internal dialogue with this gentleman over my left shoulder and Bad Arnold over my right shoulder.

VS.

Bad Arnold won.

My haul (in a handy text list, so there should hopefully be no complaints):

DVDs

- American Crude (slashed spine from cut)
- Benji Off The Leash / Benji's Very Own Christmas
- The Big Picture
- Designing Women: Volume 1
- Fragments
- From Prada to Nada
- Gigli
- The Hades Factor
- Imaginary Heroes
- The Jone$es
- Kickin' It Old School
- Monsuno Destiny: Volume 1
- My Big Fat Greek LIFE (TV series only found one copy, so it's "rare" for Dollar Tree)
- Nora Roberts: High Noon
- Nora Roberts: Tribute
- Nothing But the Truth
- November
- Roxy Hunter and the Mystery of the Moody Ghost Movie
- Smart People
- Sugar

Books

- One Click (Richard L. Brandt) I've actually been wanting to read it, so this alone made the trip worthwhile
- Yes Ma'am, No Sir (the basis for the movie Coach Carter)

They also had: At least three Tae Bo workout DVDs (which my friend bought), Notes on a Scandal (Judi Dench), Half-Nelson (Ryan Gosling), Kabluey (Lisa Kudrow), Vampires Suck (Twilight parody, I guess), and a weird Spicy Cherry flavor of Mr. Pibb that I didn't try but wanted to.

NO Blus, as expected. And no Ricky Schroder movie.
Sugar is a great movie! I definitely wouldn't mind finding that at the dollar store.

Went to see Pitch Perfect 2 today and decided to stop at my local Dollar Tree. Walked out with a handful of titles I originally wasn't going to pick up.

My local Dollar Tree only had 1 copy of Beyond the Sea, so I grabbed it. Really good movie, IMO. Definitely worth picking up for $1.00 if you can find it.

Nice find! That one stood out for me when I looked at the pic. I'll definitely grab if I see it.

Nothing But the Truth is awesome, as I've already posted.

How is Black and White? I left that one behind for some reason.

Oooh, jealous of that one! I bought 7-8 titles myself yesterday, but didn't see that one. I got the 2 Kate Beckinsale movies, like you. She's worth every penny.

Did my final Dollar Tree run by going to the other two. As usual, I overdid it. But it was fun.

DVDs

- 3rd Rock From The Sun: Season 1
- Astro Boy: Volumes 2-5 (already had 1 from the last sale and never found the complete 1-5 box someone else reported)
- Black and White
- Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King
- The Ellen Show: The Complete Series (I'm guessing this isn't the same show where she came out as "Lebanese")
- The Fat Boy Chronicles
- Goodbye Solo
- Half-Nelson (replacing old rental copy)
- The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Anthony Hopkins)
- Jackie Robinson: My Story
- Longford
- Moby Dick (Ethan Hawke)
- Neverland
- Nora Roberts: Angels Fall
- Notes on a Scandal (replacing old rental copy)
- Pride
- Private Valentine (crappy looking Jessica Simpson movie, but Max Von Sydow is in it, and that got me curious)
- Recount
- Remembering 9-11 (four movies, including one about Rudy Giuliani starring James Woods)
- Secrets of the Mountain (Walmart overstock, so probably uncommon)
- Suburban Madness
- The Superhero Squad Show – The Infinity Gauntlet: Season 2 Volume 4 (just realized this was some random volume – would've put it back if I had noticed that before)

I also bought a couple of extra copies of Nothing But the Truth as gifts. I spotted one lone L.A. Story but it was a floater. No Bobby Darrin or Ricky Schroder.

Book

Top of the Rock: Inside the Rise and Fall of Must See TV (Warren Littlefield, T.R. Pearson)

I've noticed that books are much more YMMV than movies - unless you're looking to read Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which every Dollar Tree seemed to have in stock.

Pretty sure I remember seeing this too, come to think of it - and passing on it for the same reason.

Thanks for the detailed list, very helpful to those of us still hunting dvd's.

Nothing on your list I'm especially in need of, the only one I believe that I already own is Recount, which I obtained previously at DT for $1. I am mildly curious as to whether Black & White is the:

-Ben Stiller, Allan Houston, Claudia Schiffer, Scott Caan, Robert Downey Jr., etc. version or the
-Gina Gershon, Rory Cochrane, Ron Silver, Alison Eastwood, Ross Partridge release.

Yeah, but I think there are at least a few that I'm pretty sure have only ever been released that way? Poor things.

It's this one (Downey, etc.):

well.... sh!t.

I havent been in the deals forum for a while, and just now saw this. Lots of stuff I would have loved to have gotten, but I am certain all my Dollar Trees are already cleaned out by now - if they ever got them in the first place.

Of DVDs? Nah. All of the Dollar Trees I've been to still have tons of stock, from what I've seen. Go tomorrow and you'll probably still find plenty. Only the Blus tend to go quickly, and that's most likely because Dollar Tree gets such limited quantities of those compared to DVDs. Of course, just to be clear, there are no Blus to be found this time - unless your store still has stock left over from the last sale.

There are certain DVDs with more limited quantities than others, but even that varies. For example, I only came across one copy of My Big Fat Greek LIFE in four Dollar Trees, but another poster said he saw a lot of them. You may not find every movie/show reported in this thread - I didn't - but you should still be able to find several of them, depending on your stores, area, etc.

You can find these DVDs in three possible locations (and sometimes more than one location in the same store):

- Table right by the front of the store as you walk in
- Bottom shelf, usually Electronics or Automotive section (something like that). If you're lucky, it won't be a bottom shelf.
- Endcap by one of the registers

Found some great DVD deals tonight at Dollar Tree:

The Counterfeiters
Masked and Anonymous
Half Nelson
The Spirit (with slip)
Sugar (the only one of these I've seen before, but one I really liked)

Also found the book Gangster Squad ("inspired the movie").

Thanks for the heads up everyone!

I was going to stop by my final Dollar Tree today, but of course I drove right by and forgot.

I guess I can try again in a couple of days, as I never did see the Designing Women. I did see Astro Boy 2-4, but I never watched it as a kid, so thought I'd leave it for someone who'd hopefully better appreciate it. My haul:

- Falling From Grace
- Imaginary Heroes
- In the Name of the King 2: Two Worlds
- Maiden Heist
- Nothing But the Truth

I was going to pick up another couple, but I've been doing a lot of data entry lately adding Theatrical Entries, posters, dvd entries, cast and crew, etc. and started to worry about all the work necessary if stuff's not yet in the database. So I stuck with these 5, and fortunately when I checked the site 3 were perfect and the other 2 barely needed anything. I guess this thinking is a new one, but it's probably just that I've been doing too much entering lately (need more sleep). Hopefully the movies will be good (whenever I get the time to actually watch anything).
