I can't stand Digibooks (I actively seek out the non-digibook versions whenever available, even if i have to shop internationally), but - I picked it up the Cleopatra one for $15 - the cover is just too gorgeous. I'll open it to check it out, but I probably will never even take the discs out - usually I'm not so slap-happy and I think this is the first time I have double-dipped because of a package (I have had the UK Blu for years, which is the same transfer) but it's just too nice to not splurge on.
If you have to whip out a microscope to decide if you like a Blu-ray or not, you are missing the point.

I bought the Digibook version of this via Foxconnect and I watched the film in its entirety today for the first time ... absolutely fantastic movie! Truly an amazing film to watch, just check out the "procession" scene into Rome and you'll know what I mean.

Ah, if only the Blu-ray looked like those pictures! I think the colour has been mucked about with, most of the yellow has been removed (the gold in it looks nothing like the second picture), & Cleopatra's entry into Rome looks far too cold. It's nothing like the disaster that is, The King And I, but it's not right.

Cleopatra on BD looks beyond stunning most of the time. Only some of the battle sequences look a bit rougher than the rest.
It's a beauty to behold.
When are they gonna release these movies on BD?:Crossroads (W. Hill; Steve Vai),Fun with Dick & Jane (Jim Carrey, Tea L.), Man on the Moon (Jim C.), Death Becomes Her R. Z.,Diana Krall-LiveattheMontrealJ.F., Alien Autopsy,Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys (Jodie Foster),Fierce Creatures (John Cleese, E. I., J.L.Curtis)Housesitter(Steve M., Goldie H.),Bowfinger (S. M.), Shopgirl (S. M.),OutofTowners (S.M.),Spanglish,Odd Couple 2 (Jack L., Walter M.),Wallace and Gromit-The Curse of the Were-Rabbit,

From memory isn't there a blue tint?

Besides that I thought it was pretty stunning when I saw it.
I aim to misbehave....
