As you can see with Long hair hes got the look for Eric
Since I have yet to start watching BE, I am unfamilar with the actor. But from that picture I'll definitely agree he has the right look for the part.

the movie will fail, they just dont know it yet, lol.

well, The Crow is my favorite movie and it still hurts to know that there are 3 crap sequels but the reboot/remake cant be worse than the other sequels.

The original is one of my favorite movies of all time. I hate the idea of a remake. But I kind of like that they are going with unknown actors and not big Hollywood names.

The Crow is also on my favorite movies of all time list, so any remake has me a little nervous. But I definitely am intrigued and cautiously optimistic now with the 2 leads they cast.

Barr has said it's not a remake as you can't kill the legacy of the original

The comic is probably the most beautiful love letter that I've ever read.

Actually, James only co-operated with "City of Angels" to keep the producers from ruining it, but they refused most of his suggestions anyway. He told me he liked Eric Mabius' performance in "Salvation", but also said the movie "still needed a lot of work". As for "Wicked Prayer", I recall him saying he was aware of it, but I don't remember if he'd seen it (I haven't).

They should do what Brandon wanted to do with the original back in 93, make it black and white like the original graphic novel.

City of Angels wasn't a great film but visually it was lush, personally I liked it and did exactly what I expected. I saw it in the cinema first day of release

Salvation was a decent effort with a decent idea but could of been better.

The fourth was terrible.

That was not Brandon that was Alex.
All black and white bar the flashbacks, I am in the process of making that version and editing all the cut violence back in

I hope it doesn't happen.
Okay, the original is not one of my favorite films, but I like it, it's cool and I know what it represent to the fans and I think that a remake of it could ruin all.
Brandon Lee was just magnifique in his role as Eric and I can't imagine any other actor playing this role.

I created an online petition for a blu-ray release for Revenge, could you sign it, please? It would mean a lot to me.

Well it isn't being remade...it's another adaptation of the comic. It's not based on the earlier film. Just like Man of Steel wasn't a remake of Superman 1978 or any other earlier film based on the source materials. So why should you think this of the new Crow film, other than to bad mouth a film not yet made and to emphasise how much you like the earlier film by applying the dreaded "remake" tag. There are differences between actual remakes (ones based on original screenplays and motion pictures produced earlier) and adaptations of source materials (graphic novels, books, comics and novellas).

I bet some of you think Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy films are "remakes" of the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher films just because the Joker, Catwoman, Batman, Bane and Alfred are in them, NO they are separate series and adaptations of the source material and have little in common. Same goes for Dredd, which wasn't a "remake" of Stallone's effort but rather a new separate adaptation of the comics on film.

Now King Kong is a true example of a remake as it's based on a screenplay and a motion picture produced earlier.

This new Crow should be very interesting as i've enjoyed the first adaptation since junior high when i saw it 4 times in theaters and loved the graphic novel.
