Thanks for the info. I like the story line here about the guy who falls in love with a vampire and meets her parents in the castle. Sounds pretty funny.

I rented this from Redbox last night as I missed seeing it in theaters and I really liked it. Not sure why it got so many bad reviews while in theaters sure the plot is a bit on the predictable side but its a fun movie that the whole family can enjoy plus I always love seeing different takes on the classic Universal monsters. I didnt see it in 3D(I dont believe that redbox rents 3D films at this time) and to be quite honest I dont feel like I missed much from seeing the film in 2D seems like there could have been weak to very conservative 3D used in this one which is surprising for an animated film. I think I will save some money and just pick up the 2D blu-ray at Target that has an exclusive disc and slip cover. If there is a 3D version thats the one I usually get but I feel like the 2D version is fine with this film

Thanks for the review on the story StoogeFan. Sounds good. The 3D in the trailer was decent, but they went mostly conservative IMO compared to efforts that make 3D exciting, as seen in Rise of the Guardians 3D, Madagascar 3 3D, Open Season 3D, etc.

Zivouhr, as much as I admire you as a 3d film-maker and respect your 3d expertise, I disagree with you on the movie's 3d, which I found very effective and consistently well-done. I think that you will like the 3d in the film better than excerpts in the trailer.

picked this up yesterday at BB for $20 after $5 trade & save coupon + the applebees $5 coupon. I was surprised a bit since I printed the applebees one off of the web but the cashier barely looked at it. blind buy for me so hopefully its at least a $20 3d experience.

Not alot of buzz with this one huh? I just bought it from Amazon by request of my niece. We'll see if it gets a permanent place in the library or it goes to the trade-in pile.

My daughter and I really liked it. We watched it at the theater and then has watched the BD about 5 times already.

Not bad. Goid depth and vibrant colors. The story is a bit boring though.
