Also, the color timing in the film's Blu-ray trailer is much better than in the film. In the storm scenes there are actually skin tones, it's richer and fuller. I hate when filmmakers desaturation color throughout a film. Unless it's meat to be a dream sequence or a scene out of the narrative's time frame it terrible and ugly. Who sees like that?!
My hopes are for a fuller and better transfers of this film for Blu.

I've had the UK 2-disk DVD since 2006. Which BD would you recommend, US or UK for PQ/SQ?

I never got rid of the DVD set since it was packaged so well.

I've got the single disc BD of M&C and always wanted the 2nd DVD disc for the extras. Am I correct that the DigiBook is the same disc as the BD (still w/o the DVD extras)? Anybody have the DigiBook and can say if it's worth a double-dip?

Sellers at Amazon have the Collector's Edition DVD set for $4 used, including shipping. Buy it and you should guarantee that a BD SE gets announced the next day That's practically what happened when I finally broke down and bought the Kingdom of Heaven barebones BD recently.

That is correct. The digibook is exactly the same as the regular release as far as discs/content go.

I got the DVD SE very cheap from Amazon - still in a really nice slipcover - took disc 2 out, put that in the Blu-ray case and gave the DVD to mum and dad who really like the film and didn't have it. Job done!

The digibook is very nice. Since I love the film so much I got the digi to replace my regular BD. The digi contains almost every publicity shot that was on the digital Press Kit CD. Very nice.
Though... I would really like to see a new SE with a better master.

Thanks, guys. I found an "unboxing" video. Not the clearest shots with the reflections, but hey, it wuz free.
