If I'm not mistaken, that is Dr. Weber. He was into plasma way before we knew about it, a very valued and respected expert in PDP technology (obviously, read the Wiki, short and sweet)

Edit: Another nice read

So I'm guessing the 3rd TV in is the Sammy, which one is the VT and ZT? And what's the 4th?

No the Samsung and the Sony are the two brighter looking sets, the Pannys are the darker sets.

L~R: Panasonic ZT60, Samsung 8500, Panasonic VT60, Sony 4K LED.

That 3rd set looks the best. Are you saying that's the VT60? If so it looks WAY better than the Sammy! It must just be the picture. That 2nd set looks way lighter (in blacks) than I would want.

HAS to be the picture. From what I read the black levels between the F8500 and the VT60 were very close. That picture looks like my 7 year old SXRD's black levels!

The picture has exaggerated it, but the picture doesn't lie, the Samsung to me was noticeably brighter in the blackest scenes vs. the two Panasonic sets on either side of it.

Correct, that is Dr. Larry Weber and this is his second year participating at our annual Flat Panel HDTV Shootout evaluation event.

Other than his contribution to our industry and his amazing brilliance, Dr. Weber helps make our event very special. Dr. Weber is fun to be with. He's very witty, funny and quite a cool gentleman.

So I just left best buy after going to order the zt60 and nobody seems to know when it will be released. I can't seem to find an official date. Anyone seen anything official?

Robert, I see you're offering calibration (by D-Nice or Kevin Miller) with the purchase of the F8500, VT60 and ZT60. I imagine there's going to be some demand for that extra service. Did you set up some cots for them in the back of the store?

I think the earliest delivery date I've seen was for today but I think that's been pushed back to month-end. They have no stock on hand so any actual date would be speculative until such stock arrives. I imagine realistically delivery dates will be no sooner than month-end or even as late as mid-June (pure speculation). The conversations I've had with Magnolia employees (as late as this morning) indicate they don't know either.

That was the feeling I got as well. Nobody can exactly pinpoint a date.

Robert, you are a genius if this is true. Definitely a reason to order from you as well as it gives Dnice more exposure too (as if he needed it )
