Default Panasonic BDT220 Region Free?

I just purchased a Panasonic BDT220 player, and I am hoping to make it region free so that I can order some films from the UK, specifically the Skyfall Steelbook. I found this thread on another site: http://www.hifivision.com/blu-ray-dv...on-free-2.html

Which led me to this site: http://www.firmwareinfo.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=94

However, I updated the factory firmware on the player as soon as I got it out of the box. So my question to everyone is whether this region free firmware will still work if applied to my player? Or any other information related to making the BDT220 region free would be much appreciated. Or if anyone can confirm that the UK Skyfall Steelbook is region free that would be awesome!

I am pretty sure it will still work, however you must remember that once you install the firmware from that site you will not be able to update again or you will lose the region free firmware.

Now apparently you can get a newer version of the region free firmware from that site, but I think you need to donate another 10 pounds on top of the 30 you have to donate to get the first one.

If you want a hardware modded BD player that accepts firmware updates without losing region codes you should check out 202 electronics, Bombay electronics or world imports.
