I get that now, but I'm saying releases WITHOUT the forced subtitles. I'll be getting H20 from France because it doesn't have the forced subtitles, but what about Halloween 6 and Halloween: Resurrection? What are the best transfers that don't have forced subtitles?

but forced subs on two out of three and he didn't want that option. It's a hard choice indeed. Also want best quality but subs in wrong language is probably very annoying. But can't be worse than going to the movies and not reading the subs as I always do although a little bigger picture

Studiocanal will "probably" release their encode to more countrys and hopefully the the forced subs is gone then.

My apologies. I cannot speak for the Spanish versions of either in terms of subtitles (though they are the second best looking versions). Germany has no stand alone disks of either of the three, they share theirs with the French versions. The Canadian pack has good looking versions of all three, can't go wrong with it, especially for the convenience.

I just got the Spanish BD of Halloween 6, and posted the specs in this thread.

In short: 1080p, 1.85:1, English DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio, removable Spanish subtitles, region B locked.

It's good to know that there's a good looking version with the original Ultra Stereo mix out there. That's not to say that the Echo Bridge release is poor, just the weakest of the lot.

EDIT: Received the Spanish disk and theaudioo is incorrectly labeled on the package it's only dolby digital 2.0 English and Spanish. I'm going to return it.

Apologies if this was already answered, but H20 has removable subtitles and part 6 & part 8 have forced subtitles? And does their disc of Resurrection have the special features like Echo Bridge's does?

I was recently comparing audio and video bit rates for all the Halloween 6 releases on media Info Lite and BD Info and the French Halloween 6 release's 5.1 English DTS HD-MA track is almost 4 mbps, I think it's around 3996 or something, so not only does it have the highest video bit rate (the Spanish version comes in second), but the highest audio bit rate as well.

Not sure that is correct, have these specs for the french disc of Curse:

FR - AVC 34000 kbps 1080p 1.85:1, DTS-HD MA 5.1 2050 kbps 16-bit, BD25, forced french subs (Region free)

That's the French audio track. I ran it through a full scan with BD Info that took around 40 minutes.

Meanwhile the Spanish one's DTS HD-MA 2.0 English track was only 740 or so mbps.

I'm not dead on positive about the number, so I'll scan it again tonight, but it was in the very high 3,000's nearing 4,000
