I saw a small blurb under the Kung Fu Panda 2 3d listing that said they had the first in 3d for the same price.

Finally picked up Kung-Fu Panda 3D today at Frys at the 22.99 price, very happy to get it for this price. not as cheap as 14.99 for Kung Fu Panda 2 3D back in Jan durring the best buy upgrade and save coupon promo but still in my price range.

Is KF Panda 3D converted from 2D ( Shrek style ) or re-rendered ( Toy Story style )?

I've looked all over the net, some say this, others claim otherwise. All without sources. There might have been info during its initial release, but I can't dig up any.

Not sure, but the 3D looked just as good if not better than the 2nd one.

It's a hybrid of re-rendering and conversion, using many of the original assets.

The Shrek films used some original assets as well, but DreamWorks was able to access more original data from their more recent films.

Great deal. I want to buy this one, but BBuy always sells it for 29.99 or up. I'd buy it for 24$. KFP23D is one of my favorites for 3D.

Yes, great movies. I still have to get Kung Fu Panda 1 3D, as I only have the DVD of that one. KFP2 3D is great in story and 3D.

Kung Fu Panda 3 3D is already being planned. Might be released by 2014 last time I checked.

I caught an episode of the TV show on the Kung Fu Panda 2 3D set. Pretty good, but wasn't in 3D.

Am re-watching it now, its awesome.

The peach tree scene is right up there with the lanterns in Tangled in my opinion. Jack Black does a fantastic job with the voice over and the rest of the cast is great. Just wish it was in fullscreen now.

Has anyone else seen this for 19.99 at best buy in store? Online, they want 29.99 for Kung Fu Panda 1 3D. They listed Kung Fu Panda 2 3D for 19.99 though.

I know it's 19.99 at Frys.com and they may price match it for you at Best Buy for that price. Some will, some won't though.

But I didn't look for it yesterday when I was there as I was already purchasing a lot.

Okay, thanks. I saw it at the store, but it still said 29.99 on it, and no markers or tags anywhere. They're not too organized at best buy, as some titles like Harry Potter DH2 3D was 9.99 awhile ago, and they didn't even have a sticker to let anyone know.

Last time I saw KFP 3D 1 and 2 was when they were first released on blu 3D. I have seen them both once. I need to see these again.....especially 2.

Not when the exclusive Best Buy "Kung Fu Panda 3D" (BD 3D + DVD) was first released.

Kung Fu Panda 2 3D (BD 3D + BD + DVD + Digital Copy) was released with a slip.
