Well, anamorphic video alone would be a plus...right? So long as the blu doesn't somehow look WORSE than the DVD. Is that possible?

Is that right? Are there any arguments for the DVDs as opposed to the blus? 'Cause if they are, in fact, better. $8 is a nice price.

The only real argument I can make for the dvds is bonus features on the Uprising and Forsaken that aren't on the BD. I only got the first 2 BD release, which does have a featurette for the first film which isn't on any of the other releases, and kept the dvds of 3-5 after checking reviews.
The other argument could be that 3-5 aren't really worth the upgrade as the quality is marginally better at best, so if you already own them and the dvds resell for pennies, why bother? You could save a little shelf space, but might be stuck with more discs you can't give away.

In any case, get at least the first 2 films on BD since the dvds aren't anamorphic. No matter how bad the reviews are for any of their various releases, they all trump the US dvds.

Upgrade and save is R.I.P. it seems, which sucks. I managed to get 20 cheap discs when they had em from my dvdprofiler notes. U&S wouldn't work on the $7.99 bin anyway.
