Bring back Walter Koenig and George Takei as Chekov and Sulu and make a film about them.
George Lucas didn't rape anyone's childhood but he did ruin Star Wars.

The problem with objecting to absolute truth is that you can't say there's anything absolutely wrong with it.

thats true in a filmic sense, however he did have a highly successful television career and mi 3 - which i quite like - under his belt. So at least
, subjectively, had a defined intuition.

They might as well Meet Q, then get bumped to the Borg and go from there....Who should they cast as the new Q?

Grumpy Old Men Trek?
The Odd Couple Trek?

Or better yet, have the Q bring the Borg to the Enterprise and then see what happens..

I'm really surprised they aren't doing a few Star Trek movies back to back. The shows were able to pump out about an hour worth of material on their sets each week. With a huge budget and a few good scripts, they could hammer out a ton of scenes on studio sets and then spend months working on locations to finish out other scenes for a few movies.

Sure, he's been with the series since the beginning, and he's writing the new script, but that doesn't mean he's also a competent director. He's also one of the biggest problems fans have with, not just this series, but many other movies as well, for his stories and the way they're put together. This is a big question mark for me. Curious to see how it plays out...
Yea, I'd really be surprised if the Studio gave him this much responsibility (& what is sure to be a Huge Budget) for his FIRST MOVIE.

It's too bad they brought Kirk back to life 12 minutes after his death in ID. This one could have been all about looking for him while battling Cpt. Christopher Loyd.
