Cool. Thanks for all the info. Yeah, I only saw 1 copy at the Fishers, IN store and I grabbed it. There could be others maybe on an endcap/display/dump-bin somewhere. That store is HUGE!

I think a store near me still has this on the shelf.
I might get it and see who here needs/wants it.

If it does get a new release from another company, I will purchase it again. I love this movie!

I had the DVD and watched it so much i damn near wore out the lazer in the player and probably scorched the disk!
I gotta say, this looks vastly superior to the DVD!

I blind bought this last year when it first showed up om BBY.....cant comment on the transfer as I have only seen it once and the memory on the technical side is hazy, but I did love the film itself and even with only one viewing I can remember the whole thing. Excellent sci fi genre film for what it is....grab it if you see any laying around.
ISO : Original Capitol / EMI IRON MAIDEN Cd's from the 1980's. PM me.

Re. Film cuts:

Some of the cuts made to the R-rated theatrical version have been restored to the Echo Bridge BD (based on the comparison in the link below):

http://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=696279

1. "In an additional shot, the man lies on the floor with a gaping wound in his stomach."
STILL CENSORED

2. "Two men in protective suits grab Karen. When that happens she tells John that she will always love him no matter what, but John doesn't seem to feel her and says that she has always been bad at saying goodbye. Karen adds that she will probably never learn that."
RESTORED

3. " When John and the others are in the elevator on their way up he puts his index finger in front of his mouth to tell the cheering prisoners to be quiet."
STILL MISSING

4. "D-Day is being shot at longer."
STILL CENSORED

5. "Nino tells John that Karen is expecting a baby and that they therefore have to stop the truck immediately, but John is determined not to stop before they have crossed the border. The crossfading to the border fence is also missing."
RESTORED

6. "During the birth Karen complains that the child doesn't seem to be willing to come out. John tries to calm her and tells her to be patient but Karen doesn't want to."
STILL MISSING

Interesting. Seems they kept the non-violent stuff (except the last one, which is kinda there anyway). I swear that scene 2 listed here has been in the movie every time I've seen it, but I could be wrong and haven't watched my dvd in years or got to my BD yet.
