From the looks of the box you can almost guarantee these are stacked discs like Sony has done with other complete series / collections.

I would gladly rebuy the shorts collections on Blu-Ray.

This is something that really needs a nice Blu-ray release.
Imagine all 190 episodes scanned in 4k from the orignial negatives...

Sadly, the HD versions only seem to pop up on TV from time to time, usually on channels like IFC. Then you jump back to the DVDs, and start noticing compression artifacts that you missed before
