Never seen the film, but have heard noting but accolades about it. At $10 for the blu, how could I go wrong.

Some of my favorites include The Sound of Music, West Side Story, Mary Poppins, and some more nontraditional ones like The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, A Hard Day's Night, and some animated films (Disney, South Park: BL&U). Singin' in the Rain is a very popular musical and has some great Gene Kelly moments, but Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady are also a faves of mine. I wish they would remaster to BD Flower Drum Song as well as the Busby Berkeley musicals. That would get my attention!

Does anyone think this is worth a blind buy? It seems like something I'd like, is it worth blind buying for $15?

It's generally regarded as the best musical MGM ever made. Does that answer your question?

Im sure it can be had for less. But it's worth every penny. It's my favorite musical (and I love musicals!).

I wouldn't be too worried about that seller. They have over 400 positive reviews.

Also - this is a fantastic movie. Blind buying it is worth every penny. Be prepared for the songs to be stuck in your head.

There's a general film-expert consensus that this is the FIRST classic MGM musical to show anyone who's never seen old vintage musicals.
They're right. I've heard more conversion-stories from people sat down to watch it. Come to think of it, might've been my first vintage one, too.

(Although "The Band Wagon", from the same screenwriters, makes a nice immediate-followup chaser.)
