We have only tried to watch one 3D movie from beginning to end and that was Spiderman, we ended up switching back to 2D half way through as I was more annoyed with the whole experience than anything else, having to wear the glasses and not getting any benefit. Nothing at all to do with the quality of the 3D my projector can do, I just can't 'see' 3D, it is rather frustrating. * Sub: SVS PC12-NSD * L/C/R: Axiom M22's * Surrounds: B&W DS6 * Pre/Pro: Integra DHC-80.2 * AMP: Emotiva XPA5 *

I tried sending you a PM but I was unable to do so, so I figured I'd write you here. Could you give me some info about 35mm projection and/or prints? I would be interested in learning more and possibly purchasing some equipment. Please send me a PM. Thanks! Chris |

New addition to the Home Theatre today!
Spent the day in Toronto to visiting my sister and some friends with my girls, made a couple of stops. First stop after lunch was at http://audiooasis.com/ to pick up a White Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. After some dinner I went to http://sonicboommusic.com/ to buy some new LP's. Playing a little Pearl Jam now and loving it. I remember when Vitalogy was first released. I picked up my copy at a then relatively new record shop called HMV in Oakville. I had both the LP and CD in my hand at the time and put the LP back on the shelf. Now almost 20 years later I pick up the LP and it is like listening to it again for the first time. It always was my favourite PJ record and Nothingman is still my favourite PJ song. * Sub: SVS PC12-NSD * L/C/R: Axiom M22's * Surrounds: B&W DS6 * Pre/Pro: Integra DHC-80.2 * AMP: Emotiva XPA5 *

A good collection of LP's is nice. My friend matt has a ton of old vintage vinyl.
A lot of old analog stuff sounds way better than digital at times.

Well... shortly after getting my Turn Table my processor flaked out on me. I took it across the boarder for repair on March 1st and just picked it up today! Talk about major withdrawals but thankfully in time for Django.
While it was out for repair I did get a chance to build a home for my Turn Table. It isn't fully finished yet as I've got some painting and finishing work to do but is functional. I had to blow the back out of one of my cupboards as they are not very deep at all, not much deeper than the short side of a blu-ray case. I did some reading online about what makes a good shelf for a TT and read about these sand boxes people make and didn't want to get into that mess so I read about people suggesting granite slabs and I didn't want to get into that expense so finally I read the suggestion of a wooden chopping block. This was something I could get into. I needed to put the thing on rails so I imagine I've compromised the benifits of using the chopping block but what can you do. After rigging up some supports for the rails I'm just about through. Next addition to the theatre... acoustical treatments... one day. * Sub: SVS PC12-NSD * L/C/R: Axiom M22's * Surrounds: B&W DS6 * Pre/Pro: Integra DHC-80.2 * AMP: Emotiva XPA5 *
