I have no comments on Nolan, he's okay. I'm looking forward for this film because of the sci-fi drama genre and space exploration setting.

Every negative review for TDKR was flooded with Nolanite rage. Christy Lemire had death threats.

Well, the death threats aren't hilarious obviously, but the overall story still is. To me, anyways.

I remember that insanity. Those wackadoos should have been taken out back and been beat with some common ****ing sense. Nolan isnt God and his films arent manna from heaven. *Runs and hides before the Nolanites burn me for heresy.*

You'd BETTER run and hide!

(Actually, I don't know if I count as a "Nolanite." I mean, I like pretty much everything the guy does; but OTOH I wouldn't go onto RT and send people death threats because they didn't like something Nolan did. Question their taste and ability to understand why a film is awesome? Sure. )

EDIT: I can't think of a Nolan film that I would give less than a B+. So, maybe I *am* a Nolanite. Though I haven't seen Following, but I hear that it's quite good.

In all seriousness, I suggest everyone to avoid new TV spots, twitter reactions, and full critical reviews as much as possible. Other than checking the RT score once and while, I won't be looking up any new info about Interstellar. I have a feeling that this experience will be something special, so I will be anxiously waiting for November 8th, which is when I will be first seeing it, in 70mm IMAX.

Goodbye everyone, see you around the forums, just not in this thread.
Smart man. Think i'll follow suit.

I am probably going to try to avoid trailers, teasers, articles, interviews and reviews from now on.

Going to be hard

Opinion will be opinions but when you have the likes of Edgar Wright, PTA and Brad Bird praising your work we really could have something special here!

Dazzled by the ambition & intelligence of Chris Nolan's INTERSTELLAR. Terrific performances, haunting imagery, WOW. See it in 70MM IMAX.

Just can't wait for the next Nolan film. For me, his films are events that need to be seen on the biggest screen possible.
"Because he's the hero that Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now... and so we'll hunt him... because he can take it... because he's not a hero... he's a silent guardian, a watchful protector... a DARK KNIGHT."

Funny comment I found on salshFILM in regards to the reactions this film has been getting (courtesy of Aj Meadows).

Quote:

I predict the Nolan Cycle will take effect. It's happened for every Nolan movie since The Dark Knight, and it'll happen again. This will be the internet's collective behavior for the next two years or so...

Before Release: "Cannot wait for Interstellar, it looks so good!"

Day 1: "HOLY SHIT INTERSTELLAR IS AMAZING!"

Day 3: "Interstellar was okay I guess"

Day 7: "Interstellar is so overrated. Ugh, plot holes everywhere. Anyone who likes Interstellar is a shill."

2 Years After Release: "I hope Nolan's NEW movie is as good as Interstellar!"

Repeat Cycle for NEW Nolan movie.
Truth about the situation: Interstellar really was a good movie the whole time. It was just unpopular to like something so popular for a while.
