It's $20 now. I'm thinking of getting it, but am hesitant because of the very bad reviews. I really enjoyed Season 1-6, but all the reviews of Season 7 say the final episodes are so bad that I'm better off just skipping the season.

Is this true? I don't want to waste my money and time if the season is that bad. I try to take reviews with a grain of salt, so that's why I'm asking here. Is the season really as bad as they say it is?

Can anyone who recently bought the final season from Amazon confirm what type of packaging it is arriving in? Is it the usual foldout type of packaging or a regular plastic snap case box that I've been seeing at Best Buy lately.

While I didn't buy from Amazon, I did just buy this at Best Buy last weekend. It's still in the foldout packaging. The stock on the shelves at the BB I was at looked like it was new stock since the condition of the packaging looked excellent (i.e. no dents or bang ups). So, it doesn't look like HBO changed the packaging.

I like the entire season but this is the one show in which I do not particularly care for the direction the finale took. This is coming from someone that liked the endings to Lost, How I Met Your Mother and Dexter. If it weren't the series finale, I would have been reluctant to continue watching after that.

Just finished watching my set and honestly, it was a lot better than I expected. Not sure why so many hated it. The series was wrapped up nicely and had great closure. I'd take this finale over LOST anyday. I admit, I was a bit nervous that the show would've ended with Sookie as a vampire (based on the cover art), but thankfully, it never went that direction.

I'm going to do some thorough reading on the critical reviews because I really don't see what was wrong with it. I don't know of any better way they could've wrapped up the series.
