Kind of off-topic, but not really...
I ordered the Original Movie from Best Buy, the Blu-Ray with the Bonus Features on the DVD and It came in the mail today but it was the Bare-Bones Edition.
Is anyplace selling the Special Edition anymore?

If you really want those extras, you can get the 3-disc Ultimate Edition DVD. As far as I can tell, you get everything from the BD Limited Edition's bonus disc, plus a few more items.

Yea I've got both additions myself. By the way I love your avatar. Really hope that gets a proper release someday. I have the 2 disc french DVD but it has burnt in french subs.

Watched this again last night closing up my October horrror marathon, only one to go. Anyway I loved it as usual, and it actually had me verbally showing my discomfort this time wuth some scenes, tthe hypodermic needle, the sound effects before the face reveal, and licking the razor blade all had me making guttural disgust noises which is why I LOVE this movie! Anyway how the hell did this get an R rating by the MPAA what scenes did they cut out that made the MPAA overlook the rest? The bloodiest most visceral, and gore in a studio horror I think I've ever seen, in fact its got more gore than most Unrated horror.

They didn't cut out SCENES for the MPAA, they cut out FRAMES. Much like The Raid 2, there was just a bit here and there that had to be removed for the R rating.

However, the director cut out several (in my opinion) key character moments out of the film because he felt that it slowed his breakneck pacing. He also removed the "we're gonna get you..." singing scene that was featured prominently in all the trailers and TV spots. I still want this version to get released, but as is the case with a lot of Sony releases, if it doesn't get released the first time, they probably won't do an extended cut (which is also different from their practices on DVD).

Maybe they will release an extended cut some years down the road. They also did it with Boondock Saints 2.
