yep, i'll be there picking this up day one. when i got the new tombraider, it had exclusive steelbook packaging from Target, does anyone know if this game will get similar packaging?

edit: nevermind about the steelbook question, i found the answer.

That's what i've been leaning toward doing, with the movie theater and the best buy i'm getting the game from being so close it's gonna be hard not to do both.

SUPPLEMENTS and NEW GAME+

In addition to item crafting, players can find tools, supplements, and other resources that can permanently upgrade Joel and his equipment. Supplements can steady his aim or increase his health. Tool kits and constituent parts can be used to create extra weapon holsters or improve the damage of weapons. I didn’t have an opportunity to dive deep into these systems, but Naughty Dog says players can carry their upgrades and gear over into a new game-plus.

"Start by getting yourself equipped," Cambier said. "You can pick up some supplements, and you can also pick up some supplies, and these are two things that are going to allow for upgrades. One upgrade, just to give you scenario: you can find these tool benches throughout the game, you can go there and if you've got supplies, you can upgrade your weapons. For example, you could give yourself extra ammo slots - increase your clip size."

One of the game's most unsettling enemies, the clicker, is able to locate you via echolocation. Defeating one requires a quiet approach and brutal swing with a melee weapon. Once you've been discovered, however, they're not as easy to take down.

"You're going to find that in a game like this you're really going to notice that [clip increase], Cambier said "Because it's not great to have to reload if a clicker is barreling down on you. Having those extra bullets is really going to have an impact in those survival moments."

Supplements are going to increase Joel's health, make the gun sway go down so you can be a little accurate, so tactically all these things are going to help."

Good to hear that the game will have a "new game plus" option & we can carry our upgrades over as well. Something that was sorely missed in Tomb Raider.

I have it preordered, but unfortunately the day it comes out I will be running around Disney World/Universal Studios. Won't be able to pick it up until Monday on my way home.

Buddy, if I was in your shoes, I wouldn't give a hoot bout Last of Us till I got back

Disney World or Universal Studios would probably have me more excited because they truly are special experiences with very profound life long memories to share with loves ones.

This, we went in 2008 and it was a blast. Plan on going again in 5 years the summer before my daughters start kindergarten.

I think there's a multiplayer focused event this week, so we won't have to wait for E3 for the reveal. People will probably start receiving retail copies early E3 week and earlier so it makes sense.
