I hope some can help me out here. I would like to play a few movies through my Sony BDP-S570 player but its in a Xvid format. This player will play MKV files without any problems but X264 and Xvid it won't. Is there a setting in the video setting that I need to enable or disable in order to play these files? Heck even my older DVD will these types of files, but my Panasonic upconvert dvd player is kinda on its last legs and barely enough to play a regular dvd let alone xvids or anything of that kind anymore. The S570 firmware is up to date so thats taken care of. So I need some input in how I can play these files if I can.
