The Oppo 103 does not have the faulty MediaTek chipset.

Agree to disagree about it being a faulty disc or not.

But thanks for satisfying my curiosity regarding whether the 103 can play it properly without having to convert it internally to LPCM first. Good to know.

If it was a faulty disc it would have issues on *all* BD players.

Other discs have had the same issue and it's always the chipset.

Well it did have issues with most all players.

But enough of that. Not worth typing same things over and over again.

A large group is not "all players".

A large amount of BD players had that problem chipset.

Current BD players have updated chipsets.

As for me, I still agree to disagree. The end.

Anybody try to stream the bad Total Recall disc on one of their Oppo 103 or 105 players? (I can't stream, else I'd check it out myself.)

Or one of the trouble-prone Dolby Atmos (/Dolby TrueHD 7.1) tracks perhaps?
The Oppo 103 could not stream the disc properly when the BD was initially released. You had to convert to LPCM. After a firmware update or so later the disc played properly through Bitstream.
