Eco case + padded envelope for shipping = bad news. Gotta change the packaging.
If sales are good for Arrow Video's Sullivan's Travels then we might get a boxed set of Preston Sturges films from Arrow!

That's what I said on Facebook. Forget him dropping the price by $1. Spend that money on better more ridgid packaging that will actually keep the cover and case undamaged during shipping.

Please help me acquire these Scream Factory slips (in OCD Mint condition):
Cockneys Vs. Zombies,
The Howling, Phantasm II, The Fog, Prince Of Darkness, The Sopranos Complete Collection

Eco cases won't stop me from buying it. And a dollar cheaper? I can use that money elsewhere

Ah thanks so its a different movie. I will still grab it as well as the old 60's version.

Would this be the Scorpion film?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0179334/

I'd probably prefer no hole punch in barcode. My mondo macabro version has that and i want to find a replacement sleeve from a cheap used copy. I think i will wait till end of month to see if you get some back from your old distributor with no hole punch.

I don't like eco cases as they are flimsy/bendy and its easier for punches to go through the cover sleeve. It would not stop me buying the discs but if you were to use them, then i would recommend/prefer upgraded shipping packaging from a simple bubble envelope. Since they are limited editions people cant afford to just buy another copy as there may not be another one to buy as they are limited and i do not think Scorpion wasnts to be sending out free replacement discs because of damage during transit. So any savings from using eco cases could just be used on more rigid shipping packing.

I personally would not care if the release gets delayed because of the case either. It would not be the end of the world for me if it only came out after December

I agree that deciding to release a film should be independent of the Blu-ray case type a distributor offers. I also agree with the above; however I think that the burden shouldn't be put totally on the seller. So offer your current standard shipping or the option to upgrade to a sturdier cardboard mailer for a small fee for those that wish to make sure their cover art is well protected.

Nope. There were two Masque's released in 1989. Scorpion released the one
that was produced by Roger Corman.

Cover art and the case itself should be well protected regardless. There should not be a need to pay extra to have a product properly protected during shipping. I am not talking about armored boxes to satisfy the overly compulsive buyers who freak out over the slightest wear mark. Just a package that uses a common sense approach to protecting eco-cases from the bigger types of damage. No plastic unpadded baggies, no cardboard puffins (although that is better than the baggy). Padded envelopes are fine as long as they are not overstuffed with discs. Boxes are better, but not necessary on small 1 to 2 disc orders.

The model for packaging 1 to 2 discs and not using a box is Screen Archives Entertainment. They use a padded yellow envelope with the discs often wrapped in a cheap (but protective) plastic wrap, with the envelope sealed with tape. They ship USPS and this package stands up to less than tender handling.

Scorpion has announced DAVID AND LISA and HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD for early 2015. Hopefully, NASHVILLE GIRL will follow soon thereafter.
