Sony VAIO Laptop Backpack

This laptop is very close to the laptop that I have. It's the small color and size and everything. My laptop is 14 inches. Even the model is close. The model number to this laptop is VPCEG37FM/W and the model number to my laptop is VPCEG27FM/W

I ordered this Backpack from Sony.

I also ordered this Laptop Sleeve from Sony.

The reason I also ordered the Sleeve was since my laptop is 14 inches and Backpack is 16 inches I was thinking that the Sleeve might hold my laptop more in place while it's in my Backpack. But when I put the laptop in the Sleeve is was hard to get in in my Backpack and kinda hard to close my Backpack. The laptop goes in my Backpack very easy when it's not in the Sleeve. I can send the Sleeve back to Sony to get my money back. Anyways will the Backpack by itself be enough to keep my laptop safe even with the extra 2 inches? It's a very nice Backpack and I can put a lot of stuff in it. The only thing that I was thinking of was those extra 2 inches. Sony does not have a Backpack smaller than this.
