I love what Cohen Media is doing. They are my third favorite distributor after Criterion and Twilight Time.

Not sure if it's been mentioned already, but according to IMDB, Cohen have François Ozon's 'Une Nouvelle Amie' and Benoît Jacquot's 'Diary Of A Chambermaid' forthcoming.

Looks like Cohen is expanding their "Cohen Film Collection" brand to include their contemporary releases as well (judging by Timbuktu, 3 Hearts, Deli Man and Magician, none of which are anywhere to be found on the CFC website). I'd imagine this would have to do with boosting sales for their contemporary titles? There's no way "Cohen Media Group" titles like Capital, The Prey and Swerve sell as well as the likes of Intolerance, Hangmen Also Die or the Godard titles.

This looks incredible.

It's funny how a movie that I have never heard of until two minutes ago can suddenly be added to my priority list.

Is there any logical reason why Cohen has to use such ugly covers? Big obnoxious boarders of a solid color. Some red, some gray, but all ugly.
(and yes, I know it's a "C" for Cohen, but it's still ugly)
The best number is 73. Why? 73 is the 21st prime number. Its mirror, 37, is the 12th and its mirror, 21, is the product of multiplying 7 and 3... and in binary 73 is a palindrome, 1001001, which backwards is 1001001.
What is real? How do you define 'real'? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then 'real' is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain.

The book is wonderful too. Anything from Manchette is stellar. I wonder when we'll get a blu-ray announcement.

No logical reason whatsoever. But then, some of us don't find them the least bit ugly.

Yes, the big "C" is for Cohen. Though it appears that you didn't cotton onto the fact that the gray covers are for black-&-white films and the red covers are for color films.

Cohen makes the best trailers for their releases. I have never heard of this and now suddenly it is a must buy for me. They have done this to me several times already with their trailers and I have yet to be disappointed with the ones I have bought.

Doesn't matter the reason for the colors, the border could be poker-dots, it's still a big ugly border. It shrinks down the art of the movie, if there was no border you could have full sized artwork.

(I was fully aware of why some are gray and some are red, I was commenting on them being there in the first place, not their function. You seemed to miss that.)

No, I didn't miss that. I was just commenting on you noting the purpose of the "C" while not noting the purpose of the colors.

At any rate, I don't find the covers ugly at all.
