Looks interesting, though this is definitely a teaser trailer as it didn't reveal much about the horror.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark was a remake that kind of paled in comparison to the original, but it was a good effort with del Toro as Producer from what I remember. The Strain, del Toro's most recent project before this, is awesome, so I'll consider this once I see more.

Fallout 4 in 2016.

The official 2 minute something trailer should be even more promising than this current teaser one.

Good to see King praising it. Not that I always trust his judgment, I mean he hated Kubrick's adaptation of The Shining.

As usual Del Toro doesn't seem to disappoint with each new project.

If King is praising it must be good!

To be fair, he did write the book of which the film deviated significantly on certain points. I'm sure it just wasn't quite what King envisioned. Then again, maybe he had different reasons.

Something with the horror style of Pet Sematary, or Salem's Lot would be interesting from del Toro. Don't be Afraid of the Dark the remake was okay, but del Toro mostly produced that one without directing it.

Del Toro is also working with Kojima (MGS) on a new Silent Hills, possible in late 2015. The P.T. Demo game on the PS4 was chilling to say the least, and brought back the horror of the first game, Silent Hill on PS1.
Fallout 4 in 2016.

I love Kubrick's The Shining, but if you've read the book, then King's objections make sense. In terms of atmosphere and directorial artistry Kubrick's film is stunning. As a piece of story telling, King's novel is superior.

Oh, I wasn't being completely serious. I realize that, as the creator of the story, it's going to be difficult for King to judge it "objectively". It was born from his imagination, he has his own vision for what it's supposed to be, etc.

I haven't read the novel, but I've been meaning to do so for years, I'm very interested. I really should get around to that soon, same with The Exorcist.
