How do you know this? Warner did not release official specs for the set yet, as far as I know.

The DVD released years ago included the rated and unrated versions of the movie. If I was to jump to any conclusion, it would be that the Blu-ray was probably do the same.

With Jason Goes to Hell, every single death is a lot more nasty in the uncut version, plus the tent sex scene is extended.

The listing reads Blu-ray + Digital Copy + Ultraviolet...is WB going to start including DC again (rather than UV only)??
"Who is Guy..Meatdrapes? What kinda' name is that?" "Um..it's um..Medrapades sir, it's uh, it's Greek." "Well I think you're pronouncing it wrong. This says Meatdrapes." "It's actually pronounced, um, Medrapades." "Well why doesn't it sound like that when I say it? Meatdrapes."

Warner Brother's hasn't supplied an iTunes digital copy in some time. The last movie I purchased I remember having one was "Sex and the City"

I certainly hope that unrated version is included. Jason Goes to Hell is a guilty pleasure of mine. The gore (in the unrated version) is over the top nasty and still in the good old days of practical effects. I must say though...beings I do have parts 1, 2, 3, Freddy vs Jason and Friday the 13th remake, if Jason Goes to Hell is just the R rated cut, I will more than likely just wait until they are all released individually.
My Set-Up: Panasonic PT-EAU7000 Full 3D Projector on a 120" screen and 7.1 Earthquake surround sound. Why go to the movies anymore?

Yeah that scene was crazy, what was Jason's issue with white guy's mustache that he didn't have with the medical examiners mustache?

This was filmed early on and the decision was made to have an ending closer to that of the first movie. They had also gone with a different design for Jasons face (the "unused" design can actually be seen in the movie when Jason is standing at a distance, and I think in the flashback).

So the original ending is much better, I wonder if the footage still exists.

I've also heard they changed the ending because they decided it wasn't a great idea to have everyone die.

Aside from Tommy Jarvis they never revisited any of the other surviving characters in the other Friday The 13th movies so what would have been the big deal if Jason had killed every character in 1 movie?

I guess in horror movies someone is supposed to beat the bad guy in the end.

They probably just didn't want to end the movie on a downer.

a quote from the films editor in Crystal Lake memories "...I think we all felt that you had to leave somebody behind... and that the first ending might depress people."
Larry Zerner mentions the ending of the script, which had Chris finding all her friends dead in the barn, and decapitating Jason.
