That scene should have had some hard hitting bass to help with the sense of scale of the rock giants, but it was pretty much gutless. If you look at the graphs on AVS that scene only goes down to 40hz, there's a few other moments like this. The only scene that the bass matched up to what your seeing on the screen is the very last one.

I couldn't stand the song when they were cleaning the dishs or making dinner at the beginning, don't exactly remember what they were doing, totally useless scene that added nothing to the movie.

That being said it's not terrible, I own worse movies in my collection. Hopefully things will pick up in the second installment.

I didn't even know Nickelback had a new album, I should give it a listen. I checked out ZZ Tops new album today and it's pretty good, sometime soon I'll pick it up. I had the Jimi album in my hand today but put it back to get the others that were on sale.

What style of music is Fritz and the Tantrums?

I still have yet to try any of the network functions on my Integra, updated it when I first got it but that's it. I should give it a try one of these days. Have you tried any internet radio?

I haven't updated mine since when I first got it to . I figure if its not broke dont fix it lol. I haven't tryed Internet radio yet I've been beyond happy with HD radio . It really sounds good ! I have some really good local HD stations its so good and clear that my local Jazz HD stations when there spinning vinyl I can actually hear the little snap crackle pops lol but it sounds so good . I got my power cord in today and I just hooked it up to my amp and I swear it sounds better .It could be in my mind but it seems to sound even more robust then before but I also plugged it into its own power outlet were before it was plugged into the one shared with my Furman power station . It sounded outstanding before but even better now . So maybe its in my mind and if it is that's cool I'll take it

So was the power cord heavier than you thought it would be? The first time I actually laid eyes on mine I was shocked at how big and heavy they really are, the pictures don't quite do it justice.

On most components I haven't really noticed much of a change in sound by switching the power cords with the exception of my Marantz cd player. That switch really didn't improve the sound. The others have increased the sq slightly but to be honest it's a subtle change and an expensive one considering how small the change is on some components. That's been my experience anyway.

Things are going great Tommy, how about you?

I'm just now starting not to be sore almost 24/7 and am starting to feel better. These first few weeks have been rough and I've wanted to quit my workout routine many times. A big reason is the diet I'm on, I'm starting to get used to it but most days I've been starving! Next up I've got to get my bike out of the garage and do some riding again, a change of scenery would be nice while working out.

So are you heading to the theater to see any of the big releases this month?

Hi Ace, it was definitely bigger and heavier then I thought . I think there's a subtle difference in sound not huge but a difference . I really like it and it looks very impressive feeding my A21 lol .Its like a huge umbilical cord

Good morning Andrew!

Just checking in with ya to see how things are going. I hope you are enjoying this nice long weekend with the family and perhaps some friends as well. Long weekends are made for R&R so I hope you're making the best of it.

I've been pretty busy myself and am close to putting the final touches on my room changeover. That "final touch" is the ordering of acoustic room treatments, although I haven't finalized the exact order just yet. I have about a month left before I order them, so I will continue to seek out the help and assistance from the boys here, and also on some other fora I frequent. I will likely go with ATS Acoustics for most of my needs, but I'm also investigating for price on the Primacoustics Cumulus Tri-corner basstraps.

The search for acoustic treatments has been an interesting one, and I hope that once I finalize my order, that the installation thereof will pay dividends.

Have a great day and talk soon!
John - I love the smell of vinyl in the morning!
