I'm not going to lie and say I don't like the studio cuts because I do but, I enjoy the Theatrical versions as well. Not buying them on Blu-ray because they don't have the studio cuts doesn't make sense to me because they may never make it to blu-ray and the Theatrical cuts look pretty good.

No, that's the US version. It was released in the UK a year and a half before it was finally released in the US.

EDIT: Here's the listing on WBShop.com

No. Amazon always lump together reviews from various editions.

I actually like the extended cut of Lethal Weapon (I refuse to call it a director's cut). The additions are all good scenes that add something to the film (it's true that the playground scene fulfils the same task as the drug bust, but it's still a great scene). Do I prefer it to the theatrical cut? Not exactly... I think both work equally well. Would've been nice to have it as a branched option though; isn't that what BD capability is supposed to be all about?

The scenes added to parts 2 and 3 are all-too-obviously cutting room floor sweepings and add nothing of interest.

Branching would've solved the problem but I'm sure Donner would nix it (and it seems they were listening to him by then). Agree totally about 2 & 3.

I think having those scenes in deleted scenes is probably the best option to keep the filmmaker's intent. Branching would have been nice for newer fans, sure, but the content is still there this way and no one can watch an unintended cut of the film.

I agree because, I didn't like the deleted scenes reinserted into the movies. I've always preferred the theatrical versions.

I'm in the minority here, but as much as I love these movies, I prefer the extended versions of them.

The movies have such a great cast, that seeing more of them and interacting with each other more is a great viewing experience.

Still can't track town an actual quote, but yeah, the report was, he would not agree to do supplementary material for the set unless they did not include the "Director's Cuts."

So release them separately like before. **** him and his commentary. I don't want it.
