FINE I WILL!
[Show spoiler] Might as well get the Trilogy set or go for the two for 10 pounds? If all three are available I might as well buy them that way and throw in a fourth title I've been wanting to import.

I did the two-for-10 deal with Raw Deal, since I don't care about the third film.

My wife and I were trying to figure out what to watch tonight and she wanted to watch Beverly Hills Cop. I then realized I don't own this movie, not even on DVD. I watched this movie an unaccountable number of times growing up and couldn't believe I didn't own it.

From reading a bit of this thread, am I better off getting the DVD? The Blu-ray doesn't sound good to be honest.

Blu-Ray version is a major step-up from the DVD. Is it perfect, no, but better it is!

The last page of posts have convinced me to order the UK region free trilogy set. Put my order in about an hour ago!

Well, even if the print used to master the BD was badly damaged (and it is not), it's math: The resolution of the BD is such that it is inherently going to look better than the DVD (absent some fakakta processing in the BD mastering process).

Wonderful to re-visit this one recently. Hilarious.

The BDs for 1 and 2 look much better than DVD. BHC2 looks really great, I was stunned by the PQ to be honest.

Thanks for all the responses. I figured as much, it's not too often when you're better off sticking to a DVD version of a film because the Blu-ray was botched terribly.

It's far from terrible, but has issues
Revionist audio and video is for the cheap seats
Physical media Fo lyfe.
The Scott Bros. do no wrong.
Dolby Vision is a company grasping at relevance.
Bring back and refine SXRD displays.

It helps if you keep reading past the word "damaged."

Bought the trilogy from the UK. Watched the first tonight, was very satisfied with it. Glad I got this set. Looking forward to the rest of them.
