Harry Potter Wizard Collection
300 dollars for 8 movies with a bunch of unnessceary extras and I LOVE the movies. should of been alot cheaper and i love that the list price is 500 dollars .

Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

I don't know if Olive is at fault, or just that only a poor quality copy of the film is all that exists, but I was saddened when watching it.

Still better than the old DVD, but that's not much consolation...

100% agreed! As I was reading the post I thought the same thing and then I had to scroll down some to see the rest and it said The Color of Money!

Apersonal favorite and they destroyed this transfer. I remember there was a cover story here about the restoration it was going through and I was excited, Then they release that garbage. As others said, when I read the review, I said it cant be that bad, it was worse. They need a re-release and quick with a replacement plan.

Just saw the twin packs at Walmart for 12-13 dollars.

I have to disagree with this. I watched it on my old 52 ISF calibrated LCD and it looked just as good as ben-hur/Ten Commandments as far as having a filmic quality look. Further more although I haven't seen it through and through on my new 60" Plasma and scanned several scenes and I see no evidence of digital manipulation what-so-ever.

Of course you're allowed to think whatever you want, but that doesn't make you right. Cleopatra has been digitally manipulated. Is it excessive? I would say no, but it indeed has had some DNR applied and this is not surprising in the slightest as Fox is the worst abuser of DNR after Universal.

FotoKem was the company responsible for doing the 4k scan from existing 65mm elements for Cleopatra. The grain will be very refined. I don't know what you're watching.

He's not implying he directed the movie over the phone, he's talking about directing them on how to color grade the film with verbal instructions.

If it makes you feel any better the DNR is light and varies with some scenes having none at all. I also feel that the colors are slightly over-saturated. Reds, purples, and golds just don't look quite right.

I could not disagree more. The difference in the original MPEG-2 release and the remastered AVC release is seriously night and day.

That much I agree with. It looked far too bright and colour wise many things looked faded. My French Steelbook edition looked better. I'm sticking with that.
