Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
I don't know if Olive is at fault, or just that only a poor quality copy of the film is all that exists, but I was saddened when watching it. Still better than the old DVD, but that's not much consolation... Last edited by dougotte; 11-09-2012 at 06:59 PM. |

I have to disagree with this. I watched it on my old 52 ISF calibrated LCD and it looked just as good as ben-hur/Ten Commandments as far as having a filmic quality look. Further more although I haven't seen it through and through on my new 60" Plasma and scanned several scenes and I see no evidence of digital manipulation what-so-ever.

If it makes you feel any better the DNR is light and varies with some scenes having none at all. I also feel that the colors are slightly over-saturated. Reds, purples, and golds just don't look quite right.

The Total Recall reissue. Way too overhyped and not worth the hassle to upgrade over the previous release

I could not disagree more. The difference in the original MPEG-2 release and the remastered AVC release is seriously night and day.

That much I agree with. It looked far too bright and colour wise many things looked faded. My French Steelbook edition looked better. I'm sticking with that.
